Patrick this is incredible, thanks for sharing it. Must have been an absolutely amazing experience!
I wish I could dream this at night instead of random nonsense.
Don't we all :-D
Hollywood: We made awesome visual effects.

This literally just calmed the fire inside of me...
The most beautiful thing I've seen in my whole life 😱😱😱🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
Pure magic and the sounds too, thank you!
This is the life to live! I'd do anything to trade places with a dolphin. But there isn't a dolphin on Earth that would go for it!
You're a fortunate guy. Beautiful.
This is awesome! 🐬❤️
oh to be able to experience this at least once in my life
(also, bet this phenomenon inspired all those glowing water scenes in Moana)
INCREIBLEEE¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡
Wow 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Like something on Pandora. This December 2022, will be Avatar: The Way of Water
HydroTRON!
for me that just look like a flaming dolphin
Wait Jotaro what are you doing
How is Newport Coastal Adventure open and operating right now? just genuinely curious
Jeremy H Newport Coastal Adventure isn’t operating right now. We went out on a private trip since I’m friends with the owner to search for the dolphins. We kept our distance and didn’t have others on board.
Patrickc_la thanks man, makes sense. Once in a lifetime experience and video you got!
Hey could I use this for an intro video I’m doing for my show on the Miami dolphins ?
Hey how’s it going. I respectfully have to decline. At this time I’m only licensing the footage for companies to use when they want to purchase the non exclusive rights.
Strange normally bioluminescence isn't captured on camera? In fact even the best nature documentaries have to have the top of the line extremely expensive cameras to capture it?
@Downhill Nut EVERY time I tried it didn't work. Swore Planet Earth made a big deal over a camera that could?
When God uses After Effect.
Let me share all of yours

Bioluminescence is hands down one of the most awe inspiring things I've ever seen in my life. That and the aurora borealis.
They are amazing, but I’m guessing you never heard of Saint Elmo’s Fire? (Not the movie) the rare electrical phenomenon. Luminous plasma is created by a corona discharge from a rod-like object such as a mast, spire, chimney, or animal horn. There are also some other extreme rare weather and atmospheric phenomena you could add to your list of amazing looking, rare and cool oddities.
@@wardog3d Cherenkov radiation is also pretty cool, a childhood favorite of mine.
I would bet the dolphins know about the bioluminescence and what they are doing. Such beautiful, intelligent creatures.
That has to be the *single most awesome thing* I have seen in my 62 years. Thanks for bringing that to me! It gives me faith that once humanity's awful stain is gone from this world the animals will come back and reclaim it . . . no one will see these shows but that alone is the best part.
See you in 8 years when youtube recommends this.
🤣
Lol yeah, very true
Lmao
our teachere did xD
Hello future.
I can truly appreciate how difficult it was to manage the settings, focus, and frustration of trying to spot and time the footage. I have a video of BL on a kayak (you can see in my videos) but the dolphins are a variable that are 100x more difficult to capture. You were very lucky, but you were also prepared for that luck! Great video man
This is just mind-blowing. Thank you for having the skills to capture this for the rest of us to enjoy - it's just beyond words.
Y'know. At this exact moment in time, this is 100% the thing that I needed to see.
Same, I know what you mean
Same here
Absolutely awesome! Bioluminescence is so freaking amazing. I hope to see this some day.
Omg!! 😱 Too lucky to witness something like that. 💙🐬
this made me tear up
Bioluminescence is quite simply the coolest thing natures does.
I've watched this a handful of times and it still blows my mind
What a beautiful World God created...
Avatar the movie in real life.. purely amazing
Wow, what a beauty. And great camera work too, well done.
So much beauty, its magical!
Dolphin life is straight up magical.
*Wow*!! I grew up along the coast in Alaska and *loved* the bioluminescence, but *never* saw anything this phenomenal!! Great shooting, Patrick! :D Thanks for sharing! :)
Looks like heaven to me :)
Stunning, dude! Great capture of this event!
No words... this has to be most beautiful video i have ever come across on the internet.
Lyrics of this video:
Ora Dolphin
Ora Dolphan
Ora Dolphin, Dolphan, Dolphon
Do do, do do, do do
Do da, do doo
Do da, doo doo
Do-do, do da
Do da ,do do
Do do, do doo
Thank you so much for this. It is breathtakingly beautiful!
Literally magical .!! Wow 😍
Amazing stuff. Great capture.
Breathtaking
this is so pretty
So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish.
I would like to include this in a video we are making for our grandchildren. We are sailors sailing around the world and one night we had a dozen dolphin swimming around our boat. Sadly we did not have a camera that could pick this up. If I include links to your instagram and YT channel would you give us permission to use this? The video is not to make money....simply to show the kids what we've seen while sailing.
Hello! That’s super cool that you were able to see this in person! I totally understand wanting to use this footage but I will respectfully have to decline. I’m currently only licensing this footage to companies to be used.
@@patrickc_la how much will you charge to license it? We would give you attribution and post a link on our sailing blog to you page.
1 person be like, naw, I dont like this video. Lol!
It's up to 11 thumbs down as I watch this. I imagine they are the kinds of people who didn't make it all the way through the chocolate factory tour with Charlie.
What I wouldn't give to see the reaction of sailors in the past who came across this phenomenon for the first time.
They would come back and describe it in town and no one would believe them! xD
Actually it is not dolphin it is the bioluminescence algae in water creates the light.
Yes, and the dolphins are swimming in that glowing algae. Thus the title "Dolphins Swimming in Bioluminescence."
Magical!
Thanks so much for sharing this awesome experience
Awesome Beauty, I guess organisms causes the Ocean to sparkle @ night.
The fact that I can't think of anyone to share a moment like this with scares me. *sighs*
Imagine sailing or surfing at night while seeing this...
its my dreaaammmmm to swim in bioluminescence!
moanas grandmother in dolphin form
Hi 8b
Gorgeous 😍😍😍😍
I remember i went to go see the blue tides, and i went down to write thing sin the sand and the sand started glowing up with blue. It was really cool! It was beautiful.
Is this camera unfiltered for astrophotography or a conventionnal for daylight ?
how are they able to keep up with the dolphins with zero boat noise?
I'd imagine they were under sail.
that was my question the whole time too!
@@joerussell6453 good call
Joe Russell good question Ryan. Joe it doesn’t look like a sail boat. It’s look like the bow of an inflatable boat. and I don't think there is enough wind to be able to follow the dolphins
Riva mumma
Dolphins: We'll see you on the Game Grid.
Like scenes from life of pi.. sad fact the actor passed away today due to colom cancer complication..
the aliens have arrived and tired of hiding hahaha
Time to go scuba diving!!!!
It kinda reminds me of moana 🤣
Невероятно!
This was shot before right?
Thank you god!
Это чудо!
A spiritual experience
Life of Pi vibes
This deserve an en epic song, probably from enya.
SEAFARING WIZARD: "Expecto Patronum!"
MashaAllah so beautiful.
Why has no-one dubbed over this video with vaporwave yet?

woah. really cool. i wonder what it would look like with a good camera
it's a 5 year old $2,000 camera
Sony a7sii can capture pretty much anything in the dark. If we are talking about a camera that could capture this in darkness like professional then thatll probably cost 10-50k 😂 .
john ireland It’s an amazing camera lol one of the best cameras for low light which is why I used it! Not many others can capture in that dark of night.
@@patrickc_la oh ok. maybe its the conversion that makes it all bitmapped
