I think KRS-ONE is one of the best rappers out there and he was in his 20s when he started and now he is in his 50s and he is still killing it and I mean anything that he puts out the song is incredible.
THANK YOU.. i been DYING for people to react to KRS-One.. He is and will ALWAYS be my #1 on my top 5.. PLEASE react to more of his NEW and older stuff.
im 36 and seen krs when i was like 17 at a small club in seattle.... my favorite show of all time tilll this day. wasnt even familiar with him like that but dude controlled the room like nothing i had seen before or have seen since. common market record release party at chop suey if im not mistaken. tiny spot, the fact krs had to do that is bewildering. in hind sight maybe he didnt but those tiny venues gave him what he wanted as far as intamacy and crowd participation. ill never know. what i do know is that me and my older homie who took me still both regard seeing krs as something special we were not ready for. hes the ONE for a reason
The disrespect from younger generations is deeeefffinitely not just a hip hop thing. I think you hit the nail on the head about it being social media related. Everyone so wrapped up in themselves and what's happening on a live feed right now, but never taken the time to look back and learn from what others have already been through. It's sad really, my hope is that most will realize some version of this when they are older and hopefully raise their kids a bit differently.
