You deserve so many more views/subscribers than you currently have! You're easily one of the best classical music UA-cam creators and a fantastic pianist as well. Clearly you're much more thoughtful as an artist than most pianists on this platform. The format you have for videos is perfect: give unique insight into the piece and the composer, then actually play the piece and give your interpretation of it. I still very much enjoy your videos without playing though.
Thank you for the really informative commentary followed by a simply exquisite performance of this Schubert Impromptu. Sublimely beautiful music played by a pianist who, as JG accurately remarks, is just fantastic. Nearly seventeen minutes of pure joy: B R A V O !❤
This really helps me as well by emphasizing this for the ABRSM test for level 8 which sounds awesome, and I chose this piece because it is really amazing and sounds really well to me with me especially with the pedal added to this piece.
HI Cole, I truly enjoyed your introduction/description and detailed illustration of how this beautiful piece is played. You really did a great job with this masterpiece. It delights me to see such a gifted young person like yourself take interest in these classics. I am bamboozled how there are only 1300+ views of your video here. Keep up the excellent work, and thank you for such a helpful TEACHING tool (watching our hands at half speed really helps me learn!)
Amazing how the theme in the A section is so similar to that of the first section in Beethoven sonata 12 but has a completely different character to it.
I dont know if its just my ears but the recording sounds really damn nice. Maybe its just what im not used to listening to? I could really hear pianissimo at the start. Gives it a neat nocturnal nature (did you see that alliteration?!!?)
Just a suggestion, have you every thought of having the performance first and then the analysis. Maybe I think people would be more captivated? As said, just a suggestion and I Enjoye your vídeos very much how they are rn!

Yes, Schubert was a "sleepwalker" who worshiped his opposite, Beethoven. And they both wrote great stuff.
Best recording of this piece in my opinion

That was a loftily lilting lyric! 🙂
