The tier 3 crusifix is actually broken if you have a summoning circle you can take a ghost photo and possibly an objective of "capture a picture of the ghost" and also force "prevent a ghost from hunting using crusifix" objectives it's going to make completing objectives so much easier

The tier 3 smudge stick is called a censer, it's used to burn incense, you place incense inside it on a piece of burning coal and then shake it to give off smoke, orthodox priests use them during sermons for example. And those also have bells that chime with every shake.

one thing that could be done with lvl 3 smudge; stop the ghost during hunt and ghost photo because it's standing still... but be careful! lol Also, since T3 tripod is hardly a big upgrade from T2, why not make it an RC car on which you can place the camera. Simply add up and down arrows on the screen to make it move forward and backwards. Side arrows turn the camera view, but that helps you drive around corners. It would give an extra little gizmo for truck dwellers, but also allow you to explore without losing sanity. Good for huge maps.
What I love most about this update is most of the higher Tier items are such a quality of life improvement. So as you play the game and work your way up the game becomes less tedious, more fun. You'll have learned how to play the game better too by the time you unlock T3. So it'll give you more confidence to play at a higher difficulty than you were.
I may be American, and Celsius confuses the fuck out of me when checking the weather IRL, but WHO IN THE HELL would use Fahrenheit for Phasmophobia? Celsius is objectively superior for Phasmophobia because it is easier to see -1 and go "oh its freezing" vs seeing 31
One of my wishes for a sequel game playing the exorcism team is coming in and having to figure out how much worse the investigators made things by messing around and poking the ghost in ways that made the haunt worse. Like come into a contract and grab the investigator report and think "Let's see what these jerks did this time."
I think it’d be cool to have all 3 teams. So you could have up to 12 people playing the same game. Imagine having 4 people survey and draw a map of an unknown location. While cleaning up and getting locale info. The normal phasmophobia team. And a midnight ghost hunt-esque hunting team.
I'd imagine they work together. You need the investigators to find out what kind of ghost it is, and any possible connections, then the exorcist uses that info to actually banish. Like your not gonna do well if you go on trying to banish a demon and it turns out to be a revenant you know? They got to have different ways to get rid of them otherwise why differentiate between them?
@@LordGarryk it's simpler if they are two completely separate games with different systems and approaches to the concept of being a logic puzzle about ghosts. Trying to connect them makes for all sorts of unnecessary complexity.
I am not gonna prestige if I hit a high level for phasmophobia, I doubt I'll reach that level anytime soon but, these items would help me and my friends out a lot. It just sucks how long it takes to unlock them etc.

I think for all this insane equipment they would need insanely big map, bigger than Sunny Meadows, cause it feels quite OP to use for small houses ... maybe im just used to old items and how they worked
If you click on the Sound Sensor after you deploy it it cycles through 3 different pickup shapes. Default is round, second is square and third is 2 opposing cones. Combine that with the three sizes and it is a lot more versatile than it used to be. :)

The updates the past few years that made the game much harder felt like the ghosts were getting stronger. In response, Ghost Huntin' procured the most insane technology in order to fight back. :D Love this update!
i actually bought this game for the first time a week before the update came out. i gotta say, the update made the game feel so much better in terms of replay value and progression. i’m still a super noob and cannot for the life of me be able to tell which ghost is which like insym can, but watching him play i’m always learning something new
The night vision looks a bit OP. Maybe should have had it work as is, but limit field of view as you’re looking through a scope… definitely should glitch in a hunt like all other electronics!
I think with Tier 3 items being so strong, there should be down sides so that T2 items wont become completely obsolete. Like how the Glowstick can work better than the T2 UV or how T3 Salt can repel ghost (which can have it's downsides e.g. the ghost room svcks you want it to change rooms but T3 Salt stops that) while the T2 Salt can't.

Um.. the purpose of tier 3, is to leave tier 2 behind, rendering them obsolete to you. Tier 3 should instead be made more expensive, than tier 2 counterparts. So you want tier 3, but can afford tier 1 or 2 after dying.
once I put the sound detector, in woodwing when the ghost end up a Deogen, and the only thing the audio detector captured all the time was whispering... it was really creepy.
1:37:47 It looks like you can use the lantern to light other lanterns. I believe when you picked it up and turned around to go inside, it lit the 3 others. I think I heard them hiss as they lit too. Noted, because I would 100% do that by accident all the time lol
i’m confused why they didn’t do more to change the higher tier photo cams. Just taking pictures faster doesn’t seems like enough for me. Like what if they made the range for 3 star photos larger with the higher tier photo cams? Or possibly a built in UV light on the t3 for easier UV photos? Or maybe if you take a photo of it during a hunt with the t3, the flash makes it stop flickering, and temporarily completely visible for easier hunt photos? So many missed opportunities with the photo cam, it feels underwhelming to upgrade it.
When they fix the Crucifix bug, you'll only need 6 piles of salt on the Summoning Circle to get perfect game there saving you 1 salt container. 6 Salt Pile Photos + Crucifix Interaction Photo + Burned Crucifix Photo + Ghost Photo + Summoning Circle Photo = 10 photos
Seeing headgear tier 2 and 3 really explains why they attract the ghost, but sadly it's absolutely gutting the quality of the tier 1 for Multiplayer. I only play with friends and the headcam was just nice to watch them from the truck and see what's going on, but now you can't really do that when you're in hunting range, because it takes too long to turn it off, you have to track whether it's on or not without an indicator, and it doesn't actually provide any benefit to have it on, except for the player in the truck to be able to enjoy the game more. It was always a Multiplayer Quality of Life item, but with the new system they just threw that aspect to the roadside, which i find a bit sad.
The night vision is cool and all, but I liked reliving outlast by using a video camera in VR Mode. You could turn it on nightvision mode and hold it up to your head to see (somewhat) clearly. Though during hunts it would be obscured by static which gave me quite the jump the first time it happened to me and I saw a glimpse of the ghost right before I died through the static. since my headset broke this video is the first ive seen of the game in a year. Looks neat. Still will probably forgo flashlights for camera NV again.
Maybe the reason for the ceiling DOTS is only doable in 2-story houses where there's a carpet directly above? Like it would have a 'sunken hitbox' that you can then attach the DOTS to? Just an idea
My only criticism is that I liked the old EMF sound better because it was creepier. There is just too much beeping going on in my opinion. Otherwise this update is absolutely fantastic! from the new items to the models, everything!
They should a new mechanic where you have only 3 light bulbs. That way you can replace the light bulbs that shatter. And they can add like, the stronger it is, the more of a chance it bursts itself, so you also have to flick the lights on and off. The weak one is just a normal bulb. And the second one is bright, but can burst when you leave the room or light on for a certain amount of time.
I disagree with items being too cheap, here is why: Everybody seems to forget that not everyone is Insym. There are new players, scared players and also players who simply don't have the time to grind out money for a game about "identifying ghosts". What I mean by that is that people die more often than you think, loose all their stuff and have to rebuy. Often. So what exactly is the goal here? Making a fun game for everyone? Or making a fun game for 10 percent that has a lot of experience? Something to think about in my opinion.
40:55 or Yureis are bugged or it's intended and unknown knowledge, but smudges don't stop them from hunting. This was also the case on previous update.
You can change the shape of the tier 3 sound detectors range. Like it could be a cone one way, two cones two different directions, or a full circle by clicking it.
The money curve is fine tbh. If someone dies they'll lose like $2-3k. With how easy it is to screw around or make a simple mistake it'll happen fairly often. The majority of people playing this aren't playing this for as many hours as you do and aren't experts that can tell the ghost type from the sound of how it threw a cup from a room over. Without doing the 13x exploit, we're gonna be stuck in the early levels without a hope in the world to see most tier 3 items for a long time. Let alone have the excess money that a player like *you* has lmao.
Being a vr only player I don’t like the night vision goggles because you can’t read your evidence book with them on. also they can bug stuck on an be unable to remove them with out putting another pair on.
So does that mean that in case of a Demon, the Tier 3 Crucifix has a 10 meter range? That's insane, it would probably cover half of Tanglewood and with two of them, you could cover the whole map.
I know the salt is a consumable, but is it only consumed after using it up completely (like crucifix)? Cause what's to stop you from just using 2 of the 3 uses per salt and then never having to buy more salt?
I just wanna add that I think the ghost speeding up while stunned makes perfect sense to me. From a player perspective the smudge is there so you can get away (and break line of sight) from a ghost -- if you don't break line of sight, you should bear the consequences. But also imagine it from the ghost's perspective: you're going after some nerd, all of a sudden can't move but can still see the mf'er who you're trying to hunt down. You would go supersonic when the stun wore down as well.
For the Crucifix and Smuge added 50% effect per tier, maybe instead of additive it's multiplicative. Like, instead of 50%>100%>150%, it could be 50%>75%>112.5%.
t3 crucifix should be toggleable between 3 uses or 2 uses and stops cursed hunts becuase it would be annoying when youre actually wanting a cursed hunt
I believe its that type of lantern but if its not sorry, in real life those were designed to go thru very high winds/bad weather eithout blowing out so that can explain the upgrade
25:00 to 25:10 just play in vr, two inventory slots and two hands :P we have been carrying 4 items for a while, only downside is not being able to open doors, but drop an item from a hand and you can :D

As a note watching someone carry a camera on a tripod is incredibly amusing, when turning and strafing there is a new camera shake that adds a little realism.
Yeah, something bad about the tier 3 photo camera is that its range is larger, and it seems to prioritise things that are further away, e.g I tried to take a photo of a door and was right in front of it, but it took a 1 start photo of the bone that was all the way in the next room instead lmao
Am I wrong or the door locks because his sanity dropped for using the summon circle cause? The crucifix 3 blocked the cursed hunt, but the ghost still can do a normal hunt.
Only thing I have to say is I wish the night vision goggles showed ghost orbs because obviously the only way to see them is with camera night vision so it makes sense

I know the salt is a consumable, but is it only consumed after using it up completely (like crucifix)? Cause what's to stop you from just using 2 of the 3 uses per salt and then never having to buy more salt?

I just wanna add that I think the ghost speeding up while stunned makes perfect sense to me. From a player perspective the smudge is there so you can get away (and break line of sight) from a ghost -- if you don't break line of sight, you should bear the consequences.
But also imagine it from the ghost's perspective: you're going after some nerd, all of a sudden can't move but can still see the mf'er who you're trying to hunt down. You would go supersonic when the stun wore down as well.
It would be fun if you played with multiplayer lobbies with tier 1!

For the Crucifix and Smuge added 50% effect per tier, maybe instead of additive it's multiplicative. Like, instead of 50%>100%>150%, it could be 50%>75%>112.5%.

Yeah, something bad about the tier 3 photo camera is that its range is larger, and it seems to prioritise things that are further away, e.g I tried to take a photo of a door and was right in front of it, but it took a 1 start photo of the bone that was all the way in the next room instead lmao
