This song makes me imagine a vast, thriving futuristic world. A utopia. I think this is what the Benefactors had, it was as good as it could get in this world. But it wasn't enough, and so, they moved onto the next.
Rain World was never post-apocalyptic, it's post-utopian!

Man, the Industrial Complex has to be one of my favorite places in the entirety of base game rain world, it’s pretty, really fun to explore, has a great spot for vulture mask farming, and has my favorite soundtrack, even though it only has two songs that aren’t the threat theme, they’re both realllly good

In fact, 'The Ride' which is the song that plays in that scene, actually has Bio-Engineering's motif in it. If you listen closely, it's altered via key change and some note differences, but it's still the same song.

Man this is like the theme of the game for me cause I was stuck in Industrial Complex for soooooo long to the point that i actually dropped the game then came back months later just to get stuck at Sky Islands
@@traeesen Yeah, I beat the game in early 2019 and got all the achievements last year, it's one of my favorite games of all time
TBH the hardest point in the game where everyone have a patience test is the zone that joins the Sky islands, Chimney canopy, The wall and one Echo.
That part tests you mentally

The rain world soundtrack is good, and fits the game well, but it’s all too slow or emotional for me to listen to without playing the game.

I really like it but only really inside the game, i dont see myself enjoying the ost if I'm not playing the game

a lot of it is ambience and relies on the in-game sounds (spears, jumps, bombs, jaws snapping shut) to accentuate it, so it feels lacking outside of the game, but is great ingame to supplement.

Makes me think of a future of where humans have completely re-engineered our planets eco-systems, every single bacteria, plant, virus, animal, insect, all of it, completely controlled by a very advanced species who have done such to themselves too. we are a product of evolutionary decisions, now we make those decisions for ourselfs and anything else that interests us.

Along with Unseen Lands and Urban Jungle, Bio-Engineering is just very nostalgic to me. It's just that they all plays at the start of the game when you still don't recognize the world at large... man, I miss those days..

when i heard this in the soundtrack i honestly thought that it belonged to an area in five pebbles, i was surprised when i found out it was from industrial complex when i've literally heard it there before, i misremembered. but it just feels like this would play in five pebbles definitely

Like many others, this song is special to me because my early cycles were me stuck within the industrial complex. I stayed in the shelter near the scavenger treasury and in that place I killed the 5 basic lizards and almost got the chieftain passage. The scavengers there are my homeboys, they greet me every time I leave the box at the start of a cycle and follow me around the complex but in turn that places them in danger since I unlocked the red lizard in the lizard den right above the base.
So as soon as a new cycle starts there, I will have to prepare to kill at least 3 -4 lizards because of: 1st the red lizard, then the 2 green lizards, and then either a blue, white, or a sparkling blue lizard.
Soon, after progressing a bit further in other areas. I returned with the chieftain achievement unlocked and they still kept following me around, and the red lizard is still there to kill them and I'm trying my damn hardest to protect them. Anytime the red lizard shows up, I just have to get out of the location of the red lizard quickly so none of them gets killed.
This is the theme for me and my boys.
For the people who dont know, many of the creatures in rain world descend from "purposed organisms" Take for example the hazer, possibly used to make ink as it explodes in a big bomb of ink, likely killing, or injuring itself severely during the process, the slugcats are though to be able to clean the pipes, the rot in the foreground of the map are some sort of Memory cartridge for the ancients, many of these "purposed organisms" were made by 9 pebbles, and possibly no significant harassment as well.
What big grotesque things? The only thing i can think of are the wiggly fleshy looking things in farm arrays but i thought they were in the background

1. Pretty much everything descends from purposed organisms.
2. Iterators are very limited in what they can do. No organism in the game is confirmed or even hinted at being made by an iterator, other than the Hunter and even that's very much debatable.
