Sup man. Appreciate the good faith response. I meant no disrespect. Partially due to my own ignorance.
I wasn’t aware that Capcom (as of now) hasn’t announced online events, so I have no issues taking the L specifically on that. However, all it means is that both Tekken and SF are offline, I mean you still have to travel to Dojo events lol. But Maybe not as far?
As far as DLC, Akuma is included in season 1 pass. But let’s just say I grant you that season 1 only had 3 characters, isn’t that what you said you wanted? I apologize in advance because maybe you did elaborate on this in a live stream but, in the video you complained about the pace of season 1 release, so I just went off the info provided.

Honestly, this feels as if Capcom's C-suite is consolidating and downsizing the Pro Tour. Not out of the performance of the CPT itself, it's been rather well, but more as a means of cutting costs in a downturn.
I had a feeling that Capcom might end up doing that since it doesn't seem clear to me what the revenue stream for it is. That is a bigger problem than it looks, because it would assume that Pro Tour's revenue is SF6 itself (plus the DLC, etc.). They are likely doing the CPT at a loss, and at some point that was going to come to a head.
I feel you on this, with the way that this is currently... Only those that can travel and travel far will be able to take part in the CPT. While Capcom is asking that of players, it leaves some of the community tournaments out in the cold. That said, I did say that this was a downturn... I hope that the TWT goes well but it does feel meh.

Here is the sad thing to my speculation, if this is the case then here is hoping that Capcom manages with this downsizing. If not, they could be in a position to sell the circuit and the only buyer that I see in that is Sony.
Sony, whom has the same pressures and has been laying off folks in response.
Beats having the whole thing collapse but it would only be starving off a decision that needs to be made. I don't think that Bandai can starve this off either tho it does seem to have a longer tail.

Dude, of course will be online tournaments, they have to put a bracket of 32 or 40 players, 8 events offline not cover even a third of that, no worry.
