I am so pleased that Hasbro in their wisdom re released this set, with the addition of the railings,Salacious and Hooka pipe which the original regular release did not come with, only wish he came with his dais but you have done a fantastic job of making your own, superb, well done my friend.I got mine just the other day and i am super happy with him, i too missed out on the first release so could not be happier. Another UA-camr Mighty Jabba's collection does a comparison of both releases.Thank you for sharing.

I’m glad I waited for a rerelease, this set is fantastic! Was so excited when I got him in, as I’ve said, him and R2 were my most egregious omissions, and now I finally have them both! Also love to see that your throne worked out. It looks perfect, major props to your kids for such a great gift! A while ago I told you that you convinced me to get the RotJ Chewie for my Jabba’s Palace display. Well, I finally was able to get one this weekend, and it just completes the scene! Thanks Matt!

Main differences between my previous version and this.. Eyes are brighter and less glossy on this one. Tongue is resting on bottom of mouth on older one. Readers, YMMV. Pro tip, take the hookah tube to the hair dryer to eliminate the kinks. Take it easy though, ya don’t want to melt it. ETA, Hot water may work too. Maybe.
Interesting... I figured there'd be some slight differences. I mentioned heating up the tube - still have to do that. It actually got a little better all by itself, but some light heat (briefly) should help. I appreciate you watching and also for, well you know. 👍🏻👍🏻🙏

Great review!. Damn man I passed on this, and I freaking love Jabba. Saw the review on duel's end Vader and finally got one. Amazing figure and in my area they are cleared outta the shops. I'm such a Vader junkie that I have the Hot Toys duel's end version shipping soon. Wallet's a little beat up hahaha, Cheers!

This thing teases me. I bought the figure way back then as the single figure release. It cost $14 on clearance… I got Salacious in the creature pack from Disney park exclusive. But this one with the hookah bar does tempt me. I’m hoping a sale comes along. I think the SDCC exclusive with all these same pieces was $65 way back when. Man I do want that bar though… What a cool Jabba throne! Watch out Lando! You’re standing on the Rancor trap door! Regarding your question about original Jabba, I think the coloring is the same on the eyes and the detail. Maybe it’s a bit more orange around the face. A bit. Same gimmick. Greens look about the same. It’s mostly a re-release of that SDCC set without the special diorama packaging. Great display. It definitely makes a RoTJ display look complete.

The shoulders on mine aren't too loose. Some maybe looser or tighter than others. Hasbro isn't known for consistency. It looks great and I'm super happy to have it in the collection. Thanks so much for watching!

Such a great set. He takes up a lot of real estate but it’s definitely worth it. The tube for the hooka is really annoying. It does not want to lay where you want it.

The eyes or eye color compared to my old version look ALMOST identical, it's hard to tell but it appears maybe on this newer version they added more lines to the outside part of the iris area.
The new Jabba looks way better than the original the newer Jabba is more real looking and possible,where the original is more cheaper looking plus more plan looking 💯

That seems to be the debate some people are saying he’s just a repack and the stuff he came with is new other people are saying he’s updated I don’t have the older one but I have this one and just comparing him to pictures of the older one the new one looks like it has updated paint apps to me 🤷🏻……..and i thought I heard the old one is all hard plastic no soft rubber
The paint differences are very subtle. The paint may be a little cleaner in places. Salacious is better this time around - they added articulation at the knees. I'm just happy to finally have this big boy on the shelf. It's a great set. Thank you so much for checking out the video! 👊

$90 for Jabba and Salacious (which is pretty expensive) - if they had included a throne it'd be waaaaay more. Who knows?... I had fun making my own throne. The original Jabba and Salacious set as well as this one are going for $100-200+ on the aftermarket - so I'm glad Hasbro did this.
Haha that's a figure that I'll probably never own. The original looks terrible, but it's kind of a necessary figure for any Jabba's palace display. If I ever come across one for a "reasonable" price, I may snag it. We shall see! Thanks for watching, Doug!
I always want as much articulation as possible in an action figure, so I'm unsure about this. The sculpt and paint apps look pretty damn good though. Your stone base works very well.👍
The only other areas of articulation you could possibly get on this figure is the tail and eyes, you can not really expect much more articulation from a figure like this.

Nah, the old one looks great. There's literally barely any difference, this one just has a slightly darker paint job
