  • We headed up Gairich a Munro accessed by the dam at Loch Quoich on the Kinloch Hourn road. Conditions were wet and cloudy when we set off but slowly got better as the day went on. We still never got any decent views though but still a very enjoyable hike with a nice scramble near the summit. It was Nathans last day up here but great to have his company these first few days of our holiday.

Great looking mountain mate, very atmospheric in the clouds. Roll on the frost to get rid of the little blighters! Nice video, cheers. Mark.

Cheers Alan. It's a great walk, luckily it was dry as I could imagine it being a bit of a bog fest on the way to the hill. Take care. Mick.

Looked a canny scramble to get to the summit & back down. The weather made it more atmospheric. Nice touch mentioning Wilco. Cheers. Eddie.

Cheers, Eddie Yes a few scrambly bits then a final 25ft wall to clamber up which focused the mind as there was a big drop to the right, plenty of hand and footholds though which made it easy then a nice stroll to the summit, just a shame we missed out on the views. Take care. Mick.

hey that went quick Mick. Good climb up and so good to hear you give Wilco a shout out. Yeah he would have liked that one. I was looking out for that Pine Martin. Next video I imagine. All the best. Mark

Thank you Mark yes not many views on this one which was a shame as it has fantastic views all round on a good day. Pine martins deserve a video all of their own, already wish I was back in their company, amazing animals. Take care. Mick

@@WyeExplorer My next walk was solo as Nathan had to return home. I set off for 2 Munro's and conditions were not good again, I was in thick cloud with no path and had reached a high remote lochan that loomed out of the clag. I knew the first summit was to my right but protected by a wall of high crags, I stopped to gather my thoughts and seriously thought about turning back when Wilco came into my thoughts and suddenly I could think straight again and all doubt was gone, I found a route to the ridge and reached the Munro summit then went onto the next top and descended in warm sunshine. I know for certain he gave me the confidence to continue. I can't describe the sense of calm that came while standing next to that lochan.

@@blamhof Brilliant and inspiring story Mick. Yes, spirits and guides come to us in all manner of ways and places. Sounds like Wilco was definitely there with you. I'm really happy to hear about that. I know you were good friends. I always enjoyed his outings. Take care Mick. Have a cool weekend.

Cheers, Peter it's a great walk with some fine scrambly bits, no real difficulties though as plenty of hand and footholds, shame we had no views as they are supposed to be excellent into Knoydart. Luckily the walk-in was dry but I can imagine it being very boggy after a wet spell. No wind and the little shits are at the summits now lol. Take care. Mick.
