      - Super simple, yet fun to watch the steps come to completion. I love videos of things getting built. Diresta is one of my new favourite channels to watch for making things inspiration.

    hey mate, not bad for a quick conversion. Many are criticising but they are failing to understand the context of the build.. great job in the time available...

    • @Levi_Allen
      @Levi_Allen  7 років тому +6

      Yeah I'm not to worried about the criticising, either someone gets it or they don't. Helps give me new ideas for the future build anyhow.

    Great video. I really like your "use what you've got" attitude throughout the project, and inventivity in constructing. The surprise unveiling was the most adorable thing. Wishing you all the luck in the world.

    I watched this ages ago and looking back at it again given the context of your current conversion project is truly powerful.
    What a story... what a build... and most importantly what a storyteller.
    Thanks for being such an inspiration.

    Love the van build, very well done on a very limited budget and time frame.

    Congrats to both of you, she is a keeper, there are not many young women that would want to spend their honeymoon in a converted camper van, her reaction is PRICELESS, and the build is super nice considering the short time you had, Me and my girlfriend just converted a 16 x 7 cargo trailer into a camper, its taken a year to complete, but it has everything you would want, we are taking a year off from are jobs and just travel every state in America, we both have stressful but very rewarding jobs, I'm a music producer here in Nashville and I own a music video production company, we do all the videos for the big recording artist in Nashville, my work days are 14 hours long and Julia is session singer and musician, she is in very high demand, she just came off the road touring with Carrie Underwood for 8 months, she was a backup singer for Carrie, so we are both looking forward to are new adventures, looking forward to more videos, thanks for sharing a NEW BEGINNING.... posted by Music Media Productions, Nashville

    Dude, Levi that was awesome!
    I know what it’s like to get married & move into a project of a home. We bought a fixer-upper in January, got married & moved into it in April. I was almost late to our wedding because I was in the final mad dash of getting the bathroom sink & shower to work.
    When we came home on our wedding night there were still bare studs standing from the walls we were in the midst of ripping out in the kitchen/dining/living room, gaping holes in the ceiling, and the kitchen was all torn apart so we had to go downstairs & wash dishes in the huge laundry utility sink.
    On the second or third morning, we awoke to the sewer main being backed up & starting to flood the basement. Fun memories for sure!
    You got a gem of a wife there, buddy. Take good care of her and you’ll keep enjoying all the craziness of adventurous life together. :D

  • @gallente4TW
    @gallente4TW 7 років тому

    Levi [it is Levi, yeah? Thought I heard your lass calling you that], that was a fantastic effort in so little time and with my favourite material; reclaimed wood/pallet-wood. I have NO doubt that at some point when you have more funds available that you will make an absolute gem of a camper van.
    Your fiancee's [at the time?] reaction was just perfect. A lot of people - NOT just women - much prefer their creature comforts and whatnot. But she simply and instantly admired what you had achieved in such a short space of time! Now THAT is someone worth being with.
    Bravo to you for your magnificent effort and to your [now?] wife for her delightful reaction. May you both find peace, great health and that you never lose sight of what is important.

    Outstanding work, Levi. I am a huge fan of all things ghetto and would love to do one of these. I do have a few questions.
    How much does a decent used sprinter go for? I read somewhere that you want to stay away from them once they get much past 150K miles as rebuilds on the benz diesel get crazy expensive and things start to go around 170-180K. I suppose this is dependent on what it was used for it's entire life. If it was a delivery van carrying light loads, it would be OK, but if it was owned by a plumber carrying around 8 metric shit tons of plumber stuff, maybe not.
    What is the roof height. It looks fine for your lovely bride, but you appear to be stooped over. I wonder how tough it would be to do a roof raise to get the inside height to about 6'2". Maybe it's fine and you are just 6'5".
    What is the length from rear door to just behind driver seat? I would like to do a "wet bath" (shower with toilet and sink). The footprint for one is about 2.5 x 4 ft. I would run it along the wall behind the driver. So, I would like to have at least 12 ft (bed + bath).

    • @Levi_Allen
      @Levi_Allen  7 років тому +1

      Great questions man. I recommend diving into the Sprint source Forums. amazing info there.
      I bought my sprinter for 10k CAD. I have to bend over a touch, I am 6' 3". I believe it is almost 12 feet from driver seat to the back door.
