  • In this video we're Tench fishing in summer with the method feeder. Hopefully you've seen my other Tench videos, such as Tench Fishing in Spring with worms. Well, on many of my lakes worms will get destroyed by the nuisance fish as we progress into summer, and so we may need to change tactics at this time of year. When this happens I'll often reach for the method feeder, pellets, corn and rubber corn.
    In the video I'm fishing a lake that's alive with small Perch, Rudd and Roach and so I try to demonstrate how I go about avoiding these fish to target the lakes stunning Tench, and catch some beautiful Crucian Carp too in the progress.
    Thanks as always for checking out the video!

    Was watching one of your tench videos last night as been a bit of a target for me recently. Great to see another video on these beautiful fish. Makes me think sometimes most people who live in the uk probably dont know they exist but to me they are something i consider to be iconic in britan hahaha 😂. Keep up the good work mate :)

    Hi Nick i love your tench fishing still curious what your mix is in percentage pellets and groundbait thnx.

    • @Lifeonthebank
      @Lifeonthebank  Рік тому

      I’m not very precise tbh … I usually only make up half large bag groundbait to half bag of 2mm pellet (2mm pellet bags are quite a lot smaller). If the session ‘goes off’ then I’ll use the other half and have more in the car! Hope that helps!

      @@Lifeonthebank Ok i assume that's for the whole day i'm fishing only in the morning so wil use less groundbait and pellets anyway thanks for your answer.

    If you were fishing in a super weedy small lake for carp and tench would you ever step the 8lb hooklink to a braid one? 🎣

      Yes, I definitely would. A good shout 👍

    Great video, stunning fish! Weird thing about crucians is you have to be super delicate with a float setup to spot those finicky bites, but with a feeder you can go a lot coarser - and you’ll get really violent bites at times

    • @Lifeonthebank
      @Lifeonthebank  3 роки тому +1

      Thanks! Yes, have noticed the same. Definitely get away with a more crude set up on the feeder.

    Great watch as always. Enjoy watching your tench fishing (as well as all the other content haha). Some beautiful tench and crucians and that little tench was a cutie😂. Been getting into my tench fishing recently, up at summer pit some mega tench in there... Good work dude, keep it up💪

      @@Lifeonthebank I agree, tench are a mega species🎣... Yeah summer pit is fishing well recently from what I've seen. I've had a few In the few sessions that I've been and I've seen a few others catching quite a few especially on the more overcast, cooler days. Some of the pole anglers there always get a couple and a few guys are pulling out more than I can dream of haha... Casting to the fizzes there has worked aswell an hour or 2 after I cast to the bubble patches just using small PVA bags of pellet and trimmed down boilies.👍

    Lovely vid ,, asking for advice here we have a small local water basically un fished its silly deep steep sides weedy as up to 8ft very clear , seen big tench and very big crusians rolling , even going silly light no bites even on pole , im stumped ....

    • @Lifeonthebank
      @Lifeonthebank  3 роки тому

      I think main thing is to be sure your small hooks have a thick wire. Although small they need to be strong for these hard fighting Tench! 👍👍👍
