I know it's several months late, but engineered hardwood floors are more durable than regular hardwood floors in most cases. In fact, the least durable part of them is the real hardwood layer on top. Engineered wood does include things like particle board, but that is not the type you would have for flooring.

Then why Solid wood is more expensive than ENGINEERED WOOD? Please let me know. Thanks 🙏

Because at the end of the day solid wood flooring is solid wood and not particleboard topped with a thin veneer of real wood which is what engineered wood flooring is. This means that the actual solid wood high-quality product is obviously gonna be more expensive than particleboard.

    Hi.
    Appreciate the informative video.
    I have some clarification.
If I buy an Engineered Wood, how will I handle the termite issue. Is Engineered Wood also prone to termites? Is there a solution or an insecticide we can apply to avoids termites issues but not so harmful to humans?
Fire concern, is there a liquid solution to make the spread of fire slower than the average wood?
    Thank you.
