That probably won't happen because hamsters don't really eat hay, unlike rabbits and guinea pigs. They might nibble sometimes. I am using non-toxic and water-soluble glue so nothing would happen if they ingest some. Any glue that goes in a hamster cage should be non-toxic and preferably soluable. Good luck making it. 😊

you could use a water flour mix for that step if you're uncomfortable using glue

What kind of glue did you use?
I used a water soluble non-toxic glue. It's basically elmer's glue just a different brand.
