I am new to the channel, and I will be sticking around all year for this valuable content. I do have to say funny how you recommend so many WRs early but when you won 100K, it was because you took 2 RBs in the first 3 rounds

IMO this is honestly a great year for late round receivers; Kupp going around the 4th round, Flowers in the 5th, McLaurin & Diontae going around the 7th round and Christian Watson/Jameson Williams/Ladd McConkey going around the 10th, there‘s just so much value I love it.
What drafts have you been in? Ladd is round 6/7 and jamo is round 8

In a redraft league you probably want to prioritize value more and then trade to fill holes in your roster.

I think it really matters which players you take more than your overall roster construction

I feel like for a home redraft league, I'd assume that the 4-5 WRs in the first rounds with only 6 total is the most translatable to a managed league in terms of efficiency because you know those guys are studs and should be played. If there's 4-5 total starting slots for WRs and flexes in your league, you're starting your no-brainer high draft picks there. By shotgunning 8-9 WRs throughout the draft, there's less guarantee of added efficiency beyond insurance because you can't guarantee you played one of your dart throws during their spike week, whereas in best ball you know you'd benefit.
To anyone reading this, if you're consuming June FF content I'd assume you know this, just always keep in mind the translation of league settings, particularly total starters, to any strategy. You don't want to be THAT WR heavy if it's just 2WR and 1-2flex in half PPR. If you're 3WR+ and/or full PPR, these strategies are more applicable.

I wonder is it possible to see all the teams that made it to the final round in the last two years of bbm or the or any of the other drafts?
Last year I had the 1.01 pick. Everyone including all the experts said to take a WR like JJ or Chase. I grabbed CMC instead and won my whole league. This was in my most competitive league too. Moral of the story, don’t listen to the stats or the experts 100% of the time.
I realized by doing mock drafts last year, that I liked the WR selection much better at the 2/3 turn than I did RB selection. Therefore, I took my league winning RB first and then double dipped at WR at the 2/3 turn.
Do your mock drafts and don’t take these statistics too seriously.

Yup doing mock drafts is the only way to actually be prepared. The more you do the less you’ll be shocked on actual draft day

Our league probably ended up taking more RBs in the top 20 than most leagues last year

@Flockfantasy I have 6th pick in PPR redraft. (1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 2 Flex) do you recommend going elite RB in round 1 with Breece / Bijan or elite WR with Amon Ra / Jefferson? 15 round home league, 12 team.
This is just for underdog drafts correct?
Not trying to be contrarian, but it does feel like there are better options at WR later in the draft than in years past. I would be very curious to see how this does this holds up this year. Just antidotally it does "feel" better when you get a spot where you can select WR for the first three rounds. Picks 2-6 seem really ideally suited to this because of the quality of the WRs available late second and early third.
Wr seems so slim this year. We were getting Puka round 18 last year....

As an aside I dont get why Stroud is going round 5 when guys like Purdy, Tua, Herbert, and Goff are going 4-6 rounds later.
Because Stroud was better than all of them last year and had a significant weapons upgrade. It's no question he's way better than those guys...
@@brocksolomon8953 Player preference isn't really the point here. Stroud doesn't offer much rushing upside, yet he's being drafted closer to the top rushing QBs than he is to this list of players
@@TheSentry603 QB7 last year points per game. QBs don't need to offer rushing upside to be elite. See Dak last year who was like QB4.

It's also best ball where spike weeks are important. Stroud is way more likely to have a monster game than those later guys even though they'll have similar average points. In a regular redraft league I would agree more because I like going QB a little later where I can get a safe 20+ points every week.
2000 doesn't strike me as a small sample size. Seems like a reasonable basis for conclusions

I understand WRs are important but Best Ball tournaments,only top 2 make the playoffs...if all 12 teams follow this strategy and all take 5 receivers by round 8,apparently you would have no advantage?

The key to winning leagues this year is to take Kupp in Round 2. Diggs in Round 3. Keenan Allen in Round 4. Come back and take McConkey and Brian Thomas in Rounds 6/7. Round 1 can be RB or WR. Round 5 take the best QB available (Burrow). Round 8/9 take Singletary and Ford.

Been playing 25 years, It doesn't matter how you draft. It sounds crazy to say but it's all about waiver pickups. I had CMC, AmonRa, Olave, K Allen, Mostert and Herbert last year... won 1st 7 in a row then lost my last 8 including 1st playoff rd. Ridiculous.

This analysis is fundamentally Misleading.That's what the draft numbers were last season, That has absolutely no bearing for this season.,,New season, new games, new injuries. New defense. Just so happens the year you won a $100000., You pick 2 running backs in the first 3 rds,, That's a big contradiction from what your numbers just said.,,If people would have copied that format the following year. They would have won nothing.,, In my humble opinion, There is such a thing as information overload. I believe this falls under that category. And it will take you off winners,, I won $20,000 ,,,2 separate times on Dk,, Both wins were with no analytics, These best ball tournaments come down to 1 thing and one thing only, Volume volume volume, Mix n match different players AND STACKS,be unique, Every person has access to the same information.Everyone is using that same information, (rb dead zone)lol, Thank God I didn't listen to that. Mixon rb6,,,Etienne rb3, white rb4,,,,you Need to be different,ADP Is a guideline not a bible,, Henceforth All of these. so called Professionals. @@adambarnes4191 that is the problem when u r too invested in fantasy, u forget about real life when a player doesn’t preform for you in a week to week basis without thinking of the real life factors and the fact that he is a rookie. so he should improve only improve from there. And u aren’t factoring in how much that offense was holding him back
