    Rosa, thank you so much for introducing me to a one inch hinge. The pages lay so much better then when I use a half inch hinge. I followed one of your tutorials and I was skeptic, but the pages do lay flatter. Thanks for the "rules". They will be helpful when I do my next mini. After a year, I've just started designing my own pages, etc., instead of strictly following a tutorial. You do great tutorials and I always watch, as I'm on the hunt for new page ideas. Your're a great inspiration!

    Thank you so much Rosa. This really will help me when I do an album. I usually will follow your tutorials, but, it is so good to know how to figure out the measurements by myself. You are a sweetheart. God Bless.

    This video was so wonderful Rosa. The easiest so far as to the measuring of the albums. Thank you so much for all your time in doing these videos. Now maybe, just maybe, I can set forward and see if I can make me a sample one.

    Very helpful🥰
    I usually choose either 1” or 3/4” depending how I will finish my page…..if I am going to be adding several additional embellishments to a page I find the 1” works better.

    Thank you for sharing your thought process and writing it out. I understand how you size the gusset and covers. I have made 3 albums like yours, I like the way you use the scraps to make the layouts. Thanks again and may God bless you.

    Thank you. I am copying one of you designs but I’m making it 1.5 inches wider and .5 inch taller. This tutorial helped me determine the size of my cover.

    So happy I found this!!! I'm now on my second album and this info certainly will be helpful for future projects. I'm nutso about cutting paper, so strive to make my pages work so I either don't have to trim paper, or only have to cut it in half. Also, I have started making my flaps 5/8" because 1/2" double-sided tape is so much cheaper than 3/8". It makes the math a bit awkward, but I'm going through a ton of tape! Thank you for sharing your rules of thumb!!!

    Thank you, Rosa, for sharing this tutorial!! I am VERY new to making Mini Albums. I am in the process of making my first one and the tutorial I initially followed suggested a 1/2" gusset and page "mountain" (lol). I am finding that I don't have the amount of room in between pages to put all the things and embellishments that I would like. I love your idea of 3/4" and/or 1"! I will incorporate that in my next album. Also, thank you for creating basic pages for your albums. You are a great teacher and your videos are very easy for me to follow. You have been a God send for me. God Bless You!!!!!

    I've seen several designers use the Fiskars trimmer upside down. Why is this? I have always put the swing arm at the top. Is there an advantage to putting it at the bottom?

    Shouldn't the length have been 8 inches instead of 7 3/4?and your width be 6 1/2?so that the cover will be 1/4 inch higher on top and 1/4 inch past the page on the bottom.the measurement from right to left only has to be a 1/4 inch longer on the right.

    • @RosaKellyScrapbooking
      @RosaKellyScrapbooking  6 років тому

      I think is your personal preference top and bottom, I only increase 1/4" for the cover. On the right I also account for the hinge since I like to place the page 1/4" away from the spine and then another 1/4" to the right. Hope this helps

    Why do you make the height (L) of your pages in your album 7-1/2 if you are trying to glue a 6 x 6 piece of patterned paper to it? Won't you have leftover space? Am I missing something? Other than that a great tutorial.

      No...what you understood is wrong...she told about width would be 6" for 6 1/4" paper...but she did not tell about the length of the paper she is adding....

      Hi sorry, just saw this question. I meant you cut your 12x12 paper at 6”, the length changes. I do it like that so we can get at least 2 sheets out of on the 12x12 page
