- To celebrate GTA III's 20th anniversary, I made a trailer remaking the most iconic scenes from the game in GTA V.
Some of the mods shown here were made by me for this video and not everything is available to download as they're not suitable for gameplay. Please remember, there is no 3D era story missions mod for GTA V, all "cutscenes" and gameplay parts were made manually by me using tools like Menyoo, Scene Director and Simple Native Trainer.

Makes you wonder why Rockstar didn't just do that instead. Wouldn't even have to move to Unreal Engine, just updated Rage. Unreal Engine makes the models look plastic like, like some literal fan remake in UE.

People saying why they made GTA 3 look cartoony? Because that's what the old fans wanted. They kept it on purpose so that it gives out the old school feel

@@RadEadan Because they mentioned that they wanted to keep a classic look and feel to it. I hated the cutscenes characters though. Misty and her BF look better in this fan-made

Agreed. However, the mods are good for concepts. They are not better than original games in any way. WHY? Because, without the original assets, mods won't be able to do anything.
It's like taking a grand painting which a painter has made, editing it and saying "I made it.". No, sonny boy, you didn't make it, you just changed a few things here and there, you didn't create it. Without the essence of original, mods would not have any value.
I DEEPLY hate Rockstar because of what has happened with me, to my account. Yet, I gotta appreciate them for what they've done.
We'll hopefully see them do it for the 30th anniversary

This certainly looks better than the version we got. Also before someone dismisses me for that comment, Unreal Engine is fully capable of achieving the same result of quality, just admit they didn't actually want to spend the time refining this project and move on.

Still, what kept a multi-billion dollar company like Rockstar form remaking the characters in a similar style to what is seen in the video, since the remake is running on UE4? And they partly outsourced the remakes to Grove Street Games, the team behind mobile ports of the GTA games. But ultimately it doesn't matter since, the community will inevitably remake the character models to be more faithful to the OG style while looking better that the official models in the remaster. As well as fixing other issues like the colors, most of the characters look yellow. The colors are over saturated when it comes to characters (look at Tommy in the remaster). So yeah, the biggest value of the remasters is mods, it Take2 doesn't decide to shot down every mod from that version, before it's even finished.

I love all gta games, especially San Andreas, but my favourite character is a guy from Gta III (Claude). He’s silent, and this gives me the feeling like he has no personality, and the player becomes the person inside this character. So you don’t need to associate his feelings or emotions with yourself. I hope you understand me right. For some people this thing is probably disadvantage, but for me this was cool.
To be honest GTAIII was the very first time and Grand Theft Auto I had ever played I didn't really like how Claude was shot in the throat making him become mute but San Andreas was nice with you being actually able to talk back to the people on the streets which I found cleaver whether or not if it was positive or negative sayings if they said something negative I would always fight them lol

Somewhere, in some alternate universe/timeline, Rockstar still cared enough to put love and attention into something that wasn't GTA Online and THIS was the experience we got...
Imagine if they actually release something like this. But it's also gonna release for the switch and for phones so I doubt that'll ever happen
I was thinking that too, but the recommended PC specs for The Trilogy is GTX 970, I'm kinda hyped up for this
@@loadgamepl Yep GTX 970 is pretty good if we consider that the specs for GTA 5 require a GTX 660 and RDR 2 a GTX 1060 ! I think it can be between GTA 5 and RDR 2 graphics.
unreal engine can host a wide variety of graphical settings
for example locked to "low" on mobile and can be set from low to ultra on pc
@@loadgamepl I am happy to say I was wrong with my expectations, the new trailer looks dope especially the lighting. Just wished the character models didn't look like fortnite skins. Out of the three SA remaster looks the most underwhelming to me, It just looks like modded SA
