I rented an Expedition Limited RWD Max summer 2021. We did 5200 miles from FL to Mount Rushmore and back. It delivered a respectable 19.7 MPG at the pump in superb comfort. Next time can you add a small portion on your videos to talk about the adaptive cruise control, if that model as it and if it is a stop & go style. I know most Toyota have it but not all of them have the stop & go style.
Last year I drove a rented Ford Expedition Max XLT across the country, with luggage, four cats, and me sleeping in the vehicle. It was superbly comfortable, I got average MPG of 20, it was easy to drive (drove much smaller than the size would suggest), even in many city crossings it was no problem, it was easy to park. Provided one has the garage space, I don't understand why anyone would buy a regular Expedition and not the Expedition Max. It's a huge bump up in cargo practicality at little to no cost in driveability, and no cost in MPG.
@@peterbyrne652 I am not talking about XLT vs. higher trim, I am talking about regular Expedition vs. Expedition Max. In the US the difference between regular and Max is $2000.
I went with the regular Expedition so that it would fit in my garage. My husband’s F150 won’t fit and neither would the Max. Only have the 2 youngest kids at home still, so I mainly keep the 3rd row down for extra cargo space.

Thank you Jeff. :) Thank you for the Caddyshack reference. It's a classic just like this Ford.

Great analysis! I’d love to test out the Max too
@@AutoJeffReviews please review a Platinum model
In Canada it's a $16000 difference between an XLT and the next possible Max.. That's not small change..

This guy gets it. He knows what's important.

This might work for my niece who wants an 8 passenger SUV 4x4. Thanks Jeff
I would want the King Ranch edition.
Nowadays the xlt is plenty luxurious at a non ridiculous price point. Or buy the limited with no options.
The monthly payments. 🥺
