Love this video so much. Amazing how some things you consider expensive, and yet compared to Canada, it's still about half or less what we pay here. :) Thanks for all the info Girls!
Cheers for the comment Ian, yeah true it's cheaper definitely, but salaries are also much less than Canada. Now that we have lived here for over 2 years we are living on Vietnam schedule and spending budget, well with some splurges, but we try to reduce our costs to local-ish levels where we can so we can still afford to travel.
@@girlsontheloose1 Sounds like a pretty great combination. I have some friends who were asking about moving to SE Asia and mentioned Vietnam, and I knew just the folks to suggest to watch the videos of for info. :)
Very interesting video and thank you for sharing your expenses. Interesting to hear and what a nice thing to be able to have someone to come in and clean every week. 😊 does your insurance cover any care you need while you are there such as dentist and doctor etc?
Thanks for watching. Yes, our insurance covers us for all medical visits, emergency and reg doc visits; however, it only covers for emergency dental ie like an accident or something. Overall, we're very happy with Allianz. But for travel we have always used SafetyWing - you'd have to check their fine print for what's included.
Actually the prices are really reasonable for imported products. For example that same ic cream is on special in Australia for $5.50, but is normally $11 www.coles.com.au/product/bulla-creamy-classics-cookies-and-cream-ice-cream-tub-2l-9486411
No it's not, it's $7.50 AUD for that same bag, which is 126,000 VND. So it's cheaper here in Vietnam than in Australia yet it's an imported product here www.coles.com.au/product/bega-tasty-cheese-grated-250g-4209549
Absolutely! Yes, some products are expensive, remember they are imports; you can get much cheaper Chinese and Vietnamese versions of most things though if that's your preference. Having choice is important to us!
Another great video. Very informative. I will be visiting South east asia in the next six months. Hope to see you all. Stay fabulously blessed
Thanks so much, what a great comment! And we wish you a fantastic visit to this part of the world.

Cheese and butter and Worcestershire sauce are dear
Those Aussie cheeses were half the price of the same product in my local supermarket here in South Australia !
Yes, they are somewhat pricey, but these are top quality imported products.
