My first car was a 1981 Honda Accord in the U.S. I loved how it rode low. It was many years old when I bought it and still ran great! Also, the previous owner put a coconut air freshener inside. I will ALWAYS remember that. ❤
Awesome 👍 well done and looks really. I too own an Accord, but mine is the hatch version on an 81 plate. I’ve restored mine too but only as far as the ‘used’ look. I wanted to keep mine as original as possible. It’s my daily driver now and it brings a smile to my face every time I get in it.
Very cool car! I love Hondas. I currently drive a 2005 CR-V with a 5 speed manual gearbox myself! Great car! Manufactured in the UK as a matter of fact! My mom had a 1985 Prelude back in the day. Her's was an automatic but it was one of my favorite cars we ever owned!
Simon helps me keep my old VW camper on the road and his work is exceptional. I've seen this car in various stages of its restoration over a few years and it really is a credit to him and all the the hours he's put in, in-between all the day to day work he does. Top job fella!
@@hondaheaven3846 I'll let you know I've never been stranded at the side of the road, and it's certainly not cracked it's head.... Well, maybe once or twice... 🤣... besides I can usually fix anything with duct tape and cable ties 🤞... 😂
One of the best motors ive ever driven i loved it all red valour interior 1.6 power steering 5 spead geared or maybe 4 can't remember pure bliss , yours is a stunning colour ❤🇬🇧
Absolutely love this 👌🏼 Such a beautiful car and the time and effort that's gone into it is astonishing. Great to hear the back story behind it too, thanks for sharing ❤
Unreal car in person. Probably my favourite Honda. - I saw it at its worst and I must admit ... I did think it would never get done as it was a proper state. Went back to the garage a few months later and it was all painted up ?! Amazing work. Amazing attention to detail and its the little things like the attention on the bumpers, lip spoiler etc that set it apart from anything else. Stunning car.
Those first gen Accords were great cars, sadly many people did not acknowledge just how good they really were. That Alpha green you have used was also very similar to a colour that was offered on the short bumper 79/80 model Accords for certain markets. I agree with you using the earlier rear lights and correct side mounted license lights, a lot better look for tidying it up. Nothing beats a beige/brown interior, today everything is drab boring black,,, a job well done. There is a way to upgrade the horrible fluid in a stock shock unit without cutting them open.
Hi, did you ever needed to replace the wiper blades on this accord? They have a very unique side pin fixing type and I am strugling to find a replacement for my one. What a great car and nice video btw well done

Where you wiper blades like this when you got the car or you converted to U hook type from original side pin ?
Amazing Job. I have one like this, but I struggle with spare part. Any idea where I can find spare parts for this Honda? Thank you in advance
