I didn’t think it was that similar to lion at first, but as I listen to it more I could hear more of lion, and the structure is pretty much the exact same, as well as the melody. Edit: after listening to it some more, it doesn’t just sound like lion, I do think soyeon got some inspiration from some of her past songs, you could connect it hann concept wise but with more whispers, and with señorita for the first verse?
The song itself is also built the same way with an intro/outro in whispered singing by Minnie, the percussion build ups are very similar as well. Easy to see it's from the same era.
I have no problem with the fact that they sound the same a bit...but the fact that the producer is the same person doesn't give them a reason to make similar songs
i think the bridge of the song is like the beginning of the second part. interesting. I also love Minnie's mystical and velvety voice (gives me Taehyung vibes, deeper & darker) . Her voice suits the atmosphere of the song very well. ( and seoyeon is licking something again :P by the way seoyeon is one of the genius kpop leader)

Agreed. I think (G)I-dle’s sound reaches out to a wider audience. I’ve been a kpop fan for a while and it’s so interesting to see them put out songs and music videos that are out of the norm. I haven’t been this obsessed with a girl group since 2NE1’s era!

I think OMG is a prequel to Lion. It has the same format and ending as to Senorita which they both have that 'wanting more' feeling to the song. Lion just has a better resolution because of Soyeon's bridge and Soojin's ending.
Here after Blackpink comeback. what I love about G idle is they don't play safe. How you like that is a nice catchy song, but is the same of other BP songs. In G Idle every comeback is a different genre, taking a lot of risks, specially for a 2 years old girl group.

Quite similar structure to “Lion” the build up pre-chorus and the Shuhua bridge has some “Lion” influence in it. The aesthetics is crazy good and the girls are gorgeous in this MV.
