Random bit of trivia: the sample for “UNDERSTAND THE CONCEPT OF LOVE” actually comes from a Black Panther speech. This makes at least two times I know of that Japanese devs sampled a Black power speaker and decided to use it for video game music, and wouldn’t you know it, K actually has the other one in his source pool because it’s Wrapped in Black from Sonic Rush.

@@GrotesquePoet This gives me an idea. Now that Dancing Alien Team has reunited, and they're essencially a KOF team, you could have Mars People from Metal Slug replacing one of them (possibly Popoy) and giving them access to SNK rips. Also because Latin America and SNK share a lot of history.

You can here a somewhat-feint,
"Here we go!", as a transition into the song.
But what you might not realize, is that this sample is the exact, "Here we go!", from the "Cory in the House" theme song.
This isn't merely a tongue-and-cheek joke about Cory in the House being an anime.
But actually doubles as a reference to Triple-Q's remix of the Cory in the House theme, and Plastic Love, titled, *"Cory in the Plastic Love".*

I have a lot of songs from this tournament I like more than this one...but this? This one might just be THE best.
I dont think any other one gets me as emotional as this rip, it's so...powerful. The combination of both sources most iconic songs clashing together in this intense song heralding the coming of the impending finale, you can ***feel*** the love and effort the artists went through to make this song as perfect as possible, and it hits on every possible front you can think of.
Yup, this slaps. Easily one of the best KFAD arrangements imo.
