SIFU Gameplay - Ігри
seeing gamers absolutely mesmerized when they witness the oldboy-esque corridor sequence for the first time never gets old......
Graet movie btw
oldboy so good
Seriously I love everyone's reaction to it even if they dont know where it's from
@@midnightsushi4769 You can really play "name that movie" on top of playing the actual game. So far I got Oldboy, Ong Bak, and the Raid. Anything else?
@@rnaD86 you better than me I only got old boy
Some attacks are unblockable and shown by red, some attacks can be blocked but they continue their attack chain even if block/parried perfectly. Dodging in place is super powerful against a single enemy. Loving all the games you're playing right now, great content!
They can be blocked just cost More structure
The only unblockables in the game are grab attacks, guard breaks (the ones with the orange aura) might as well be unblockable but you can tank one if you've got a lot of structure left. So yea weaving/dodging/avoiding ends up being much more powerful but harder to pull off, I'm partial to calling it "avoid" cause that's what it was called in Absolver (their last game).
You discovered the "avoid" mechanic earlier but didn't use it much, holding block and moving your stick in a certain direction let's you "avoid" certain attacks. It's basically a ninja dodge, but not exactly I-frames. Hope this helps 😀
You can dodge down and up. Dodging down avoids a usual forward punch too I believes so for me learning, dodging down as a reaction generally avoids most hits. I got knocked on my ass a lot too though.
Avoiding down dodges everything other than sweeps, and there is no left/right avoid, they just get grouped with down dodges (which I didn't realise until several hours in).
I didn't know that down dodges most things, that's awesome info, I'm struggling on the final boss 😂
"Avoid" haha lol
It's called dodge and yes I know that in games it's the sidestep that is called dodge... even though it should be the opposite
So hyped, i wish this turns into a full playthrough
You gotta make this a series you'd love everything about I promise
I'm so glad your doing this game. As soon as I saw the game I instantly thought "MythMoo needs to play this."
Use the techniques it taught you in the dream sequence against the bosses. The pole guy is real easy cause his main combo is three overhead swings which it teaches you to duck under in the dream.
the openning is just Hatred : Kung Fu edition
and I love it
been looking for you to play this game, thanks for uploading
This is an amazing game and I'm so glad that Mythy is playing it
Dope gameplay bro. Your timing and combo execution is on point.👌🏼✔️
You don't have to be quick about the Focus mechanic, just hold down the button (it will slow down time), then select one of the dots and press the confirm button. It's like selecting a spell in FF7Re.
That Old-Boy corridor made me feel things
Glad you're playing this Myth, it looks awesome - I'll be giving it a shot when it's off Epic game launcher (eventually).
One thing I do know about this game - martial arts is all about mastery through repitition. Sifu is the same. If you're gonna keep your death count down, you're gonna have to keep replaying levels to try and master them and all the enemies within.
Make sure you use dodge high and dodge low plenty! You were losing health when you parried them normally. Also, Sifu has a small amount of telegraphing, enemy limbs will glow red when they're about to launch an unblockable attack, and the limb that glows gives you a hint on how to dodge it - high, low or sway left and right.
this right here is really important
While I do wish Epic will add achievements for all games instead of just a few, I’m not aware of any other current reasons to purposely avoid it. I mean, they do give developers a larger cut of the profits and we get free games each week (and those developers get paid nicely in exchange for that as well). But hey, maybe there’s something that I missed.
@@J--Dubs "not aware of any other reason to purposefully avoid it"
... Erm... I'm on an entirely mobile internet connection, I don't have a hard connection and am hard data capped. Epic requires you to maintain a constant internet connection to play their games. On top of constantly dwindling data while playing an entirely single player game, I'll also lose access to any game I have on Epic when my data runs out.
So, there is a good reason to not use Epic - poverty. Don't forget, over 70% of consoles sold worldwide (last I checked the figure was 2016) are NEVER connected to the internet after purchase. Internet poverty is a lot more common than most realise, either due to economic hardship or poor infrastructure.
Just FYI :)
@@anarchicnerd666 oh wow. I didn’t know their games didn’t work off connection.
@@J--Dubs Yep, perma online DRM. It sucks. I do admit, the devs getting a bigger cut is good - but infrastructure isn't really widespread enough to make it a good option for everyone.
Steam has an offline mode that isn't bad, but honestly, I just buy all my PC games of GOG and try to plan ahead so I don't run out of data or cash.
You know Elden Ring is 150GB download on Steam?! Kinda ridiculous. My entire internet budget this month is on that game alone XD Worth it to play From's newest masterpiece tho
Love ur content myth!
Was waiting for u to play this!
The way myth just run up to them tells that if he was a murderer,he won't give you any chance.
I got a big dumb smile on my face when I saw that Oldboy corridor. Very nice!
Hell yeah, I was hoping you'd be playing this.
I really hope you do play through this game! I enjoyed it way too much
So hipped for you playing that one again!
Dude, you are actually really good!
i just knew you were about to play this game... xP Ty for today's video, it will be interesting ! xD
Been waiting for this whoop I love this game
That Old Boy hallway was absolutely hilarious lmao! 🤣 Very awesome game but definitely challenging
29:27 in every game you somehow manage to find a way to die to fall damage
Full playthough of this please! It looks so cool!
Wow he's doing way better than most of the UA-camrs I've seen
I wonder how many people will actually beat this game. Unlike Dark Souls which you can eventually beat by ramming your head against a wall, this game has a definitive game over point when you get too old.
@@demonintellect9834 the skill ceiling is *real* for this game. I would bet less than %20 actually beat it.
Definitely not games “journalist” friendly.
I’d love to see you play thru this myth, I feel like you’d get really good at it, and your doing nothing wrong it’s just this games parry window is very tight, tighter than sekiro, enemy’s and bosses don’t telegraph their attacks, and they’ll constantly throw in high attacks, unblockables, and sweeps, unblockables and sweeps, the enemy’s limps will glow red a sec before it’s tossed at you, that up dodge is very important to get good at cause some enemy’s will continue their combo even if you dodge or parry perfectly, also the focus ability isn’t need at all but is very strong to get an upper hand in hard fights so try to remember to use it!
Only Myth could find a way to die to fall damage in a game with no jump button.
Nice video as usual myth but it's super dark in the beginning and during the darker level
Ps: to beat Sean easily use the dodge L1 + L3
Full playthough of this would be rad
this game looks so fun and aesthetically pleasing, thanks for introducing us to it
10:43 why does that line "nerves get the better of you" make me think of Monsoon's voice from Recengence
Please make a series of this!!!
Been thinking of buying this game. Can't wait to get mythys take on this
Sloclap made a fighting game a while back called Absolver that had absolutely insane fighting styles, you should check that out too.
Yes siirrr. I'm all for this!!
That oldboy hallway reference was awesome
11:02 this Korridor camera angle is like in the movie Old Boy. :)
I’ve been expecting a sifu gameplay 😎
you did way better than a lot of the people who I've seen play this game, for a lot of people the club is a massive reality check to show how hard it is
Yesss finally 🔥🔥
yess i knew you would play this eventually
this is a awesome game and a series will be amazing:) but because the game length isnt too long you dont really need to do much cutting and less work editing vids means more of this will come out sooner and thats a yes in my book!
This is really a challenging game but something unique sloclap definitely delivered on this game.
The official term for the enemies second wind is now Super Saiyan. First Afro and now Myth 🤣🤣🤣
Myth don't forget about your combos. Practice some at the training area. You can pull the stick back and forward then Y (power attack) to do a swiping kick potentially knocking down multiple enemies and even bosses if they don't block it. Knowing your combos helps so much.
Yaass i was hoping so hard for a playthrough of this lesgo
edit: ayeeee I know that outro song
Dodge more when holding the block button the little sway thing it makes it way easier
You should also check out their previous game Absolver. The gameplay is like this game but focused on 1v1 PVP fights
Wow, actually first-try killing 2 bosses
What a fucking Legend
Myth you should play the mass effect series its genuinely one of most rewarding experiences in gaming.
9:24 Dude just predicted the ending.
Anyone else notice that the hallway fight mirrors the hallway fight from the movie old boy?
Sometimes the endless Myth questions just becomes funny.
Dude, the game literally says HOLD L1 to enter focus mode. Then time slows down and you can pick your attack. Focus sweep is a lifesaver, just one bar and it takes someone out of a fight for a bit and you can get the sweet chest punches off, too.
You can dodge second boss all attacks to the side except the red ones he does a sweep and overhead I think.
more please myth :)
I knew this game would be a blast, wow
Start using the left bumper and move stick it’ll give you focus back when you dodge things so you don’t get broken all the time. You’re pretty good at this though
The 11:20 fight is like almost a 1to1 of a scene from the movie oldboy
pretty sure it was trying to reference that
Hey Myth! Long time fan. If you enjoy Sifu, I'd recommend looking into Absolver. Very deep combat mechanics if that's your kinda thing. Story is kinda...Limited though. But you can customise your moveset in SO many ways! It's very fun, imo.
I re did the club stage like 100 times not because I couldn't beat it but because if I died once I restart over and over and over because I wanted to perfect it and learn people movies etc basically that's why this whole game is having resolve and wanting to be better perfect game design imo love this game
Now iam gonna enjoy seeing myth playing this game, because it has the same vibe when he play sekiro.
Aye… good luck😂
nice love it! hope you will try Soma. ill never stop asking. maybe play it alone or just look into it. very good Horror game!! if not the best (personal opinion ofc!)
More more Sifu
Mythy's actually just a menace ingame
Aight, sick game
after this i kinda wanna see you play angry foot
Crazy how Absolver went under so many peoples radar. Being a windfall player this game felt kind of natural. Still very difficult though.
Niiice! I found Sifu kinda tough, but not too bad. I was Windfall but moved through different classes before landing on Faejin. Was a BIG help with Sifu.
@@AS-ts4hm i was a Khalt main for a while too and would switch a lot. But yeah i feel like if you didn't play Absolver the learning curve is a lot steeper.
@@cal5750 I've switched a lot too and still do cycle through the classes occasionally. But yes I bet the curve is a LOT steeper.
Make a series about this game please
Highly recommend you check out Absolver after this game- it’s made by the same company that made this and it has similar combat, with a customizable move set too!
Sifu the red panda dude? Epic
this game feels insane and look insane. I'm buying right after I watch ep
Little update on my post, two days ago I learned that game received additional content and some things and fights have been reworked.
If you were afraid that game is too short and you didnt really trust that game is still fun with replays now you can put your worries to rest and maybe even buy sifu for couple bucks.
Arenas, scenarios, custom games tons of unlockable things.
When I heard about free update on sifu I bought it on switch (I have it also on steam but switch is comfy) started new game and I still have a blast.
Man this Game is so goooood
YES FINALLY
This game makes me feel like Daredevil. Like, you’re not invincible. You get hit, but you still get up and fight. Such a cool game!
Yeah people say The Raid but it's 100% Daredevil for me. The hallway fight is so fun xD
More sifu please :)
taking "took you ages to defeat me" literally
This game reminds me of absolver. What a game that was. Had way too much fun playing it.
Probably would have been a bigger game if the story had been longer.
Made by the same people, you can definitely see Absolver in this. I wish that game had more story along with the PVP. Kinda sad it died too, I would love to play it but the people who play that game are way too good unfortunately.
It's awesome though cos that Absolver had the amazing combo building and this game has amazing finishers that interact with the environment.
He should have chosen a boy as his character the age progression looks way cooler as a man
episode 2!!
Oh yea i have a feeling sifu rage montages are gonna be the next couple episodes
Make sure the haptic feedback is working for you. There is a bug on PC that makes it so no haptics come through.
Yes
Oh god, I can feel something bad coming towards this game
#stillwaitingfornikerealgodreveal
YEEEESSS!
I'm telling you man. Sifu is one of the games ever made.
To make this game easier you need to heed the advice of Piccolo and DODGE.
FINISH IT!!!!
U could have used the focus and it would have helped you more, its pressing focus button and then scrolling around to select the attack
You should try for the true ending by sparing all the bosses
there's a thing that the game doesn't tell you in the end and it also has to do something with your moves too.
mythymoo getting owned doesn't happen since sekiro ahahaha love ya myth
Wow this game will take everybody years to complete...*ba-dum tss*
Devenitely finish this it’s great
The last of Sekiro looks badass.
You obviously never fell down a flight of stairs.
