Minor shortcomings in intonation despite choosing lower variants of the melody in the cabaletta...
I would prefer Caballé definetely , however she is really good on behalf of a not well conductor in my humble oppinion

je viens d'écouter juste avant la même scène par Grubérova à 68 ans. Il n'y a pas photo même si Mlle Massis chante très bien, Grubérova est superlative, unique, immense.
Gérard Mignon disons que Grubi a un timbre unique et reconnaissable entre 100000 mais l'interprétation de Massis est aussi très belle :)
Estoy de acuerdo. Sin dudas esta es una meritoria y buena interpretación. Buen coro, buena orquesta y prolija/buena intérprete. Coincido que el despliegue de Gruberova a sus 68 años es superlativo. Fortísimo!! Ella es sobrehumana, fuera de serie. No hay sustituta.

Sounds a little like Patrizia Ciofi here but steadier. Hope she not moves to heavier Verdi or Donizetti for which roles her lyric timbre is undsuited.

The vibrato has gotten excessive compared to 10 years ago. The voice is much more covered. Still nice but not impressive
Inascoltabile. Acuti urlati e sofferenti, spesso fuori intonazione.
Not enough voice for Alaide, she's drowned even in a recital.

Voice isn't strong enough for this role. Bellini requires huge voices to soar above the orchestra
