Some excellent information on those jig heads. Like when you actually rig a bait on the and show actually catching something. Really don’t like some channels when they just show you a bag of plastics and jigs and that’s it. Thanks and hopefully you’ll have a great weekend.
I ordered from Plat JP a bunch of these jigheads based on your review. Waiting for them to arrive. In the meantime, I also ordered on Amazon the Temorah jigheads sizes 1/32 and 1/16 after reading your Amazon product review. Hope the hooks are as sharp as you stated. Nice to have some inexpensive good quality jigheads that don't hurt the pocketbook when lost to snags.
@@ifishcatfish The Plat website initially showed many of the 1.3g and 1.5g sizes that i use were either out or limited stock. I emailed Plat and they replied that they had the items in inventory but neglected to update their website. They updated and i was able to place my order.
Aging jighead? Sounds like the jighead for me :) . You talk at length about the eyes on the jig: I agree that -- at least at first glance -- I'd likely have more confidence in the old version with the smaller eye. If I remember correctly, you make and paint your own jigheads. Have you ever tried adding eyes to your own heads? If so, how do you do it and do you think it's worth the hassle? Thanks as always for the video!
no, i haven't. I don't believe eyes do anything. My favorite bluegill jighead is the bluegill assassin, and it doesn't have eyes, and it catches fish on every cast just the same.
i've seen them.. i'm sure they work fine but the wire is very thick.. look like Bass Pro Shops kind of product. Very different from JDM jigs in terms of thin wire, sharpness, and detail on the jig head.
If you have any jigheads from your personal stash that you are willing to part with, I'd be more than happy to purchase them. Just started to use your Japanese style heads this year and absolutely love them. Very hard to find though. You're like the back alley Guido lol
I sold 120 packs of jigs frommpersonal stashe, to be exact. I use only my own jigs now. The only jigs imkept was tungsten. Even those i will sell when i make my own tungsten
@@ifishcatfish love your BG-1's and plan on purchasing more when available. If you happen to come across any .5 or .75 gram jigheads please let me know. I do quite a bit of shore fishing in shallow, weedy water and prefer the lighter for that. BG-1's are the bomb for boat fishing or a little deeper water. Appreciate it!
@@jimpeterson3806 the BG-1 will soon have a 0.6 gram version. It will be same exact jig, but will be made of non lead alloy, which is lighter. A lot of folks don't like lead, i think those may get popular
@@ifishcatfish yessss! I think you'll be pleasantly surprised how popular this size will be. Especially for shore fisherman and highly pressured bluegill situations. It's tough here in Michigan and most of the bluegills are ultra spooky and finicky. Can't wait to give these a test drive!
Hello sir, may I ask...which one is the best? Shimano stradic FL or Shimano sustain FJ ? And the sustain FJ price is very close to stradic SW in my country, Which one is the best reel? Planning to buy 1 good reel for myself, Once I had enough money..tqvm 🙏
impossible for human to tell the difference, and from fishing perspective there is no difference. But if u analyze the tips with some kind of machine.. maybe the old will be better, just because the hook looks more expensive to me. Teflon surface is more expensive than pure paint. However, on the water, they both perfect
i have different favorites for crappie and bluegill. I prefer shorter shank for bluegill. Many favorites for bluegill. To be honest with you, i haven't seen 100% perfect jig. I really like the shape of the hook of these new ones here, but i wish they used black teflon coated wire. And black head.
float fishing with jigs is an art. I am waiting for something and then i will start making videos about it. 2 gram jig head with trout magnet will not work good. Better just use the 1.3 gram without float and twitch it. That will certainly catch bluegill, if nothing else..

didn't fish, but went to Nashville w the kids and had a lot of fun. I bought some gear too : )

Lovely coincidence that I was just window shopping online for the ajing. Thanks for the review!

Do you just tie the rig head on the line? Can you make a video on how setup yours? It would helpful for beginners like me. Thanks
if you use clear line, you can just tie it to the line, yes... I plan on making a float fishing video one day this summer..
You need to checkout the Mule fishing jig heads!!

Hi Victor, do you prefer the 1 gram size to be better than the 1.3 gram for the trout magnet?
that depends entirely on the depth i am fishing
@@ifishcatfish no boat for me. I just fish off the bank. I think 1 gram should be fine , thanks again
Excellent video
Hey, great one as always. Will you make a video about new Sahara FJ?
yes. But still long way out.

What do you mean by your reference to super glue? Do you glue the trout magnet lure onto the jig?!
yes, thats exactly what i do
@@ifishcatfish Wow! Do you have a video? Never heard of doing that. I use Trout Magnet lures but have never super glued them to the jig!
🙋🙋
I hope you can review Abu Garcia zenon
unlikely, unless someone sends it to me
What is your view about using #000 snap ring for such small jig head?
i'm not familiar with it
So you tie your line directly to the jig head? I like to use snap clip.
@@jairusaudwin2605 i use micro clips, but chinese. I have them in my amazon page
Why do you prefer tubular tips instead of solid tips?
better sensitivity and better casting and better playing the fish.
@@ifishcatfish which one is better for using 1g or below jigheads and soft plastic in your opinion?

i am not sure about these reels, they are not ultralight reels and i have not fished them nor analyzed the schematics
So you crazy glue the top of the jig head do it doesn't slide down after every fish?
thats right
Sorry. You said crazy glue not super glue. LOL
yes, but i didn't want to correct you..
Can you share a link to the crazy blue scent.
its not crazy blue, its Krazy Glue. I use the glue to glue the lure to the jig head and they don't seem to mind the smell of the glue
