Love that you’re planning on doing more Grand Archive this year! It’s currently the game that’s held my attention the best and I’ve been trying them all out. Recently got into Flesh and Blood and I could help but to feel like I just enjoyed GA’s systems a lot more.
I think they need to reduce the bulk per box. Like 7 cards per pack, with 4 commons, 2 uncommons, and 1 rare/superrare/ultrarare. Keep the ratio of 1 ultra rare but 3 super rares per box. Also 12 packs per box, $40-$50 per box. It makes the box opening experience so much better if I spend less, have less packs to open, less bulk to get rid of, and still get good pulls. But thats just my opinion. Maybe weebs needs to keep the current rates to make a decent profit but the box buying experience has been pretty poor for me.
isn't because is common/unco are bulk and bulk are fine to make more chass card if everything have the power of card likely black lotus the box price just up and are pretty rare and the game just chase the power
one major thing ive grown to appreciate more about newer tcgs (coming from MAgic) is that I can pull the special high end or suepr rare full art version of a card in a regular booster box. (I know the tcg market for shadowverse is super small so take my observation with a grain of salt) but the most expensive thing ive seen needed in shadowverse is a leader card, which of cours eyou can find most starter deck leaders for 5-10 dollars, but there is always a chance of pulling a higher end rarer one in the booster boxes. It doesnt matter if your deck is helmed by Luna or Cerberus. But also in a regular 55 dollar box of Omens eternal i can pull the super rare waifu version of Valnarik, or Lishenna or just get the SL/L version if i really need it. IE the card is cheap but you have the chance to pull the rarer, more expensive one. Wheras in MTG to get foil super high end stuff you need to spend 300$ on a collector booster box, and you may only pull 50$ worth of cards, and most are bulk/useless and their reprint system sucks. IE innistrad remastered
It's that good, it's worth building a local community from scratch for it. Plus there's lots of options to play online. The index website has full printability for any card. Proxy a Deck and give it a try.
great content as always! Ive been watching the grand archive content on your channel recently, im interested in playing and trying to get some of my friends in on it, ive done some research myself but off the top of your head do you have any product recommendations ? is it just starter decks ?
I'm hoping to do decent enough to put Vanitas together. If not, let's hope Wind Arisanna will do for now. I do like how WotS is approaching reprinting sets, just the demand is sorely outpacing supply so having that year wait will unfortunately upset some. Alas, they're doing what they can to keep up and I know they'll be ok in the long run. I think having supporter packs be their way of reprinting staples without having to print a lot of bulk along with staples in reprinting prior sets will be the key in my opinion to encourage sales knowing there's a smaller card pool and supporting the prize pools is a really good incentive.
I think the box model is actually not good, doesn't incentive players which already have most the cards just to get one new or two power booster..., which probably may not be good for stores, maybe yes for new players since the original set released, and the game is still inaccessible without access to singles here in Europe (cardmarket, the European TCGPlayer, doesn't support GATCG)
I think this is the biggest concern I've seen lately. I think 2 rares+ per pack is very reasonable. For AMB I only opened 1 or 2 copies of some rares...in 12 boxes

Their newest sets have improved art, I like it. I might get into into this game, even if there’s nobody to play with in my small coastal town 😢

The ReCollection decks hands down! There's even new ones launching soon. Think of them as powerful starters that come with a ton of bells and whistles

One thing I like is that if weeb wanted to, they could do the equivalent of the reserve list but for art.

maybe the seal kit that was made with dawn of ashes and Ftc would be good to redo for the alters or to make bundles/Etb like mtg/pokemon.
Its still too expensive to get the cards. Too much top end. Im out until they fix that. 2 rare + per pack needs to happen yesterday.

The game and especially art look really cool to me. However there is no way for me to buy packs here.
