I still wanna hear the original version of Lasers before Atlantic changed its direction. Some of the songs that were on it were Army Girl, Scream, Stereo Sun, All Systems Go, You Can Have It All, Ghost and Lasers ft. Matthew Santos. And I definitely wanna hear the 2003/04 Arista version of Food & Liquor. That's damn near a grail. "Glory," "Failure", "Coulda Been" and "The After Life" were on that album. A bunch of songs from the Arista era leaked like "4 Real", "Lean", "Questions" and "Accept the Troubles" but I don't know what exactly would've made the cut. DJ Marbll whom produced over 15 Lupe songs from the Arista era had a tracklist but unfortunately he lost it.
Wonderful video bro. It's crazy to think about how many of these projects he had in mind that unfortunately never got to see the light of day. Do you think Lupe should've went indie around the time of making his third album?
I don't think it's that he's lying about the albums. Sometimes, shit happens and the idea you may have just doesn't work. Happens a lot with me when I have design concepts. I'd also think that a bit of politics gets in the way of being able to release some things.
I definitely agree, I believe that he believed every one of these albums was gonna come out when he announced them. After he came back from his 3rd retirement though I learned to take what he says with a grain of salt lol
I never knew about Roy. I always thought the Samurai album was a joke. Same with The Cool 2. I thought they were jokes same with the Dre w/ Royce album. And, again, I thought he was joking about the 24 hour album. Japanese Cartoon!!!! Dawg! I was waiting for that.
You forgot the album that could've been the GOAT of them all...the actual Food & Liquor album that was constructed before the leaks. The track list for that was crazy lol.
@@DefGoldbloom thanks for the knowledge. Radiohead is my favorite so if this project would've came to fruition with the radiohead/Yorke samples, idk if my heart could survive
@@christianhall127 I'm a bit late to the party, Lupe freestyles over "The National Anthem" He also has a song called "Animal Pharm" where he uses "Ingenue" by Thom Yorke's side project Atoms for Peace. Both are on youtube, cuz the samples would cost too much to clear. Honorable mention goes to JJ DOOM's "R_t@rd_d Fren - Thom Yorke & Jonny Greeenwood Version" The r-word is spelled normally, but the Greenwood really does have 3 e's. (Spotify)
I think the 24 hour album was called drill music in Zion, which would be released but the fans would have to pay for it, take it with a grain of salt tho, I can’t remember which one drill music in Zion exactly was
Yes. Lupe confirmed that's its called Drill Music in Zion and he completed the rapping (his part) in 72 hours although he took a 1 day break after the first 24 hours so technically, he did it in 48 hours. Lupe also confirmed that it will release this year. He also revealed on twitter that his label has moved into the video making phase which I guess will be for the singles off the album. So all in all. It looks like we are actually getting Drill Music in Zion this year.
At least we got Samurai 😊
The "24 hour" album is finally out! His new studio album!
Samurai finna drop this year crazy

Now we're getting Samurai 😭
Samurai is so fucking good man
He also said he has an album “that’s all Murals”. Who knows if this is one he has previously talked about or yet another unreleased project
That would be wild 🤯
Now that we have DRILL MUSIC IN ZION & Samurai, I wonder what else we’ll get
It’s sad that we never got LupE.N.D. 😢 it would’ve been a masterpiece 😭
Fire content bro the first vid i saw from you was on my current favorite rapper Stove God and now my all time Lupe the 🐐 ....keep grinding

Definitely, I think if we hade 10+ years of independent Lupe then the game may look very different rn
Crazy thing is we got the 24 hr album even though it took 3 days we got DMIZ!

Oh you worried bout a critic? That ain’t protocol.
Dope video. Lupe 1 the GOAT lyricist
I really wish we got that CRS album. That would have been a certified classic for sure. Prime Lupe, Pharrell and Kanye is a recipe for a classic.
Another great video Del!! Appreciate each and every one!!
Lol 😂 he did the “24 hour album” drill music in Zion (72hrs but it original originated from this concept)
Facts I can't believe we got it! Such a dope project too
Keep going man
CRS album is in the same boat as Kendrick+Cole’s album. Or Wayne+Juelz album. So many… so many collab albums we will never get
Wish he released lupEND would’ve had the greatest rap discog everrrr
Lupe's 24 hour album is finished and it awaiting release by thirty tigers
Can’t wait to hear this 🤞

Are you a Thom Yorke fan? Heard "The Eraser" towards the beginning of this video
Not particularly, I was using a beat that sampled the Eraser. Us Placers by CRS
