I'm brand new to laser engraving and just picked up a 40w CNC Fiber Laser myself. Using factory settings I can engrave any of those black laser cards for sale on Amazon fine but on any other metals - nearly nothing! What could I be doing wrong? You have to play around with the Hatch setting with the hZ % There are videos on UA-cam to help better understand. Also if you have a machine that you can manually adjust the focus, you can try moving that up or down. I laser etch carbide and HSS and they both etch differently on the same focus.

The laser can also engrave on anodized aluminum, stainless steel, copper, silver, all metal materials and some non-metal materials. If possible, we can make some samples for you. Hello, this is fiber laser, which can't engrave photo on acrylic. We have CO2 laser machines to engrave photo on clear acylic. Since, CO2 laser mainly works with non-metal materials, fiber laser mainly works with metal materials.

Since, CO2 laser mainly works with non-metal materials, fiber laser mainly works with metal materials.
