I usually only play all random and hate people who use comboes I wish there was a only random mode since it would be way more fun since with all randoms you dont have it planned out and is alot more fun and chaotic and you must actually use what you have instead of using the same combo
my favourite combo is gust + dash + mines, you throw mines on your ennemies and if you're good at aiming with it it's undodgeable, I also use dash + meteor a lot it's really agressive and effective
For anyone who's looking for a fun combo to use, I usually run beam, shrink ray and platform. Platform works great as a movement ability as you can save yourself from falling, and using it also makes you immune to any incoming attacks (other than black hole or people camping the part of your platform where you emerge). It also works as an offensive ability as shown by the chart in the video. Shrink ray can help change up the map in your favor tremendously, as shrinking all the platforms so your personal platform is the only big one is a good strategy, but also you can shrink people twice then go in for a melee kill (eating them). Where beam comes in, is that if you shrink a platform to be smaller than the player standing on it, they won't have anywhere to hide from the beam attack. Smaller platforms also get pushed by beam more so you can move the map around to be in your favor. Anyways that's why I use Beam Platform Shrink ray, if anyone actually read this far thank you!!! the combo i use is dash - growth ray - missile(i think this is the name of the ability) i use growth ray on myself (if the map has water) and then use i create a missile so big that it is unavoidable
id say in general you need an ability that can get you out of opponents grapples and one that can attack quickly like bow or grenade as well as a defensive one like gust or bow if you can aim well
Best combo is Ball-green revive-dash cuz you can launch yourself with dash and press Ball right after and place revive before you launch yourself so u dont die if u miss
personally when going for maximum effectiveness (I'll often use something like engine wind dash in most matchmaking lobbies as the skill level is often rather low) I usually use grenade missile dash. dash is just good movement and the other 2 have really high skill ceilings
My favorite combo used to be blink dash rock. Don't get me wrong, the blink rework is not terrible, but the old one felt more fun, because you could combo with it better

I love that one, but I keep accidentally nuking myself whenever I use it ;-;
my take is that no combo is the best, each offensive ability usually has a natural counter that you can change your abilities to compensate for.

I think another good combo is 3 random because The other player can’t adapt to your combo because it keeps changing.

My personal favorite is pull+shrink+tesla. place a tesla somewhere, put another one on a small platform, then shrink the platform and pull it around.
