Love the fact your kids enjoy the fishing as much as you do! Great to see kids happy outdoors these days rather than in front of a screen. Top stuff :)
Hi , I have just found your videos as I was searching "You Tube " about how to fish the " Bolo" . Great video and really informative about feeding the swim and why you did what you did . I have subscribed and look forward to watching some of the others ! Thanks !
Well done Danny another cracking vlog well landed that Pike when i have been stick float/Bolo fishing like you said landing them Pike chances are low good net of silvers looking at that Perch as got me polishing off my lure rods ready for drop shotting and soft lure bait fishing stay safe Danny & family.
cheers mate, yeah chances are always slim for sure i neve really grab landing net as you know last min they can just spit it out. tight lines for the drop shotting mate and stay safe
Great video, really good info for the novice, very informative. Fished where your uncle is the other weekend and had an exact copy of your day lol. Loads of dace and chublet with the fish on and off the feed, I got the lure rod out and had the very same pike fourth cast. Was at Atchum last weekend, difficult fishing due to bright clear conditions but found some nice roach last light, looking forward to fishing it in the winter for the pike. Keep at it.
he was about for some time for sure i could tell by fish in keep net and the swim just went iffy, its a nice little area that, makes you wonder if hes the only pike around. atcham is a weird one i have fished it a lot on the float but theres so many bits about, its baffling then you put a pellet out and get good chub and bream but wont come to the maggot. wonder if them chub and roach hang about in winter
Yes, fished the float early on and bleak and bittling ( unsure of spelling) are a major pain, went on the feeder later and as the light dropped the roach switched on. Good luck.
Cracking vid Danny as usual, you did well to get that pike in, and the perch was a stunner. Thanks for sharing 🖒🖒🖒 Don't you think it's worth a go on the Ribble yet or would you wait for it to get colder?
What would you say is the best method of suspended pike fishing circle hooks or trebles I'm fishing old pond and aside of a couple of Jack's last season bottom fished sea baits and dead roach I've been on a hard blank I'm thinking suspended under the float about 2½ foot in 6ft of water what's your opinion?
circle and treble hooks is a debate that seperates anglers so much, for me im a treble man. when suspending a bait i prefer to have bait under a float than popping a bait up if you get me. that wayit can drift and find the pike. i would use trebles but its what you are comfortable with
I was having silver session recently and lost a roach to Mr Pike at the net scared the life out of me as the water erupted in front me lol 😆 tight lines 👍👍
reminds me of sessions on the river dee, you would sit quite low to the water and bringing dace in the pike would sit under your feet and proper crash out and take your fish, some where 20lb pike would proper scare you. tight lines mate
Hi Danny,I’m looking to buy a net for pike dead baiting .Can you recommend a good one and tell me what size to get as some have models in large and extra large.Il mainly be catching pike from singles up to 20lb max.
The one I use is the savage gear XL pike net mate had 3 pike in it once with 2 doubles on manic 30 mins on a session so plenty room. But have shop round mate deffo want a rubberised one q normal carp net is nightmare with trebles when pike roll
Dannys Angling Blog Thanks Danny.I was looking at the savage gear ones with the telescopic handle. Was just unsure of the size to get, large or xl.Thanks for the info on the size 👍🏻
