I've had the pleasure of meeting this gentleman several times. Saw him back in '06 when he was playing solo opening for Flogging Molly. His demeanor and attitude towards things is inspirational and contagious. I often play his music when I am grilling, hanging around a fire, or patching holes in drywall - it strikes a chord when you want to work hard and do things the old fashioned way. Although I am a Yankee from Cape Cod, his music will be in my truck when I'm moving back south to TN. "Stay Strong". -Rob

Yea he’s a super cool dude. I have a HWM tattoo, he happened to see it when shaking my hand and was super stoked. Probably not as stoked as I was to meet him to be fair haha but, he 100% legit appreciates his fans

I met him on warped tour. I was walking beside him and had no idea until I saw his guitar case and looked up. One of the nicest people I've met. Had a real nice talk on the way to the bus. I was mad that I missed him playing, but thanked him for all the music and the killer show he did with Social D when I saw them in Baltimore
