Lord Andy invites you into his presence at 0:31.
I didn't expect lord Andy's very lordly pose when I clicked the time stamp, made your comment so funny
"I don't have cat allergies but I do sneeze quite a lot around cats" - Jane, explaining cat allergies
Yeah, that seems like "I have allergies _and_ denial."
Actually, people who are allergic to cats aren't actually allergic to the cats themselves, it's a specific protein that the cats exude in their saliva, the purpose of it is to act as a detergent for when they're grooming their fur. When it dries and falls off as cat dander, that's what causes histamine reactions in allergic people. I've always been in the case of "I'm allergic to cats, except my cats" - that's because with some people, more exposure to a particular allergen increases their tolerance to it. But with cats, since it's that protein, which varies from cat to cat, I simply developed a histamine resistance to my cats in particular. Odd, but it works.
@@larrywalsh9939 Interesting, but if Jane is sneezing specifically around cats enough for her to have noticed it that's probably still an allergy to cat dander, isn't it? 😂 Unless there was some other common factor she didn't realize
@@notoriousresearcher oh, yes, it’s absolutely an allergy to cat dander- she was probably only immune to her family cats due to exposure
@@larrywalsh9939 She said she wasn't allergic as a child. Presumably, she developed the allergy as an adult.
If you’ve only got a mild cat allergy you can build up a tolerance by being around cats, which is probably what happened when Jane had her cat. Exposure therapy - under strict supervision - has also been useful for serious allergies like peanut ones. But I wouldn’t blame Andy for not wanting to risk it - I’m not prepared to risk it with mine (limonene and some other citrus oils). Anaphylaxis is not fun.
Love watching Ellen play a cute cat game! Always wholesome and delightful.
I did find it funny to read a news story with the headline being roughly "amazing new peanut allergy", and the body being basically "we give them a little bit of peanut oil until they're cured!"
Like, really, you hadn't tried that before?
I would have assumed Andy was Count Farrantula, not a Prince at all.
Watching Ellen play cat games almost brings me as much joy as playing cat games. Loved Little Kitty, Big City, was also super easy to get all the achievements
I enjoyed the mid crow throwback.
The talk of bodega cats just reminds me of The Unsleeping City (where a bodega cat is one of the character's warlock patron.)
really great to see you lady' and gent having a fun conversation and keep spirits high in this time
Awesome show for the longest!👍👍👍👍
Commenting for the first time in my life, nearly 20 years after this aftermath of a small tornado in an unpopulated area platform, that I support Jane loving the Weakerthans.
This stream has revealed much new lore about Andy's posh upbringing
Look, just because Andy grew up with a different pony to ferry him between every room in his mansion, doesn't mean he's posh. That's just how the countryside works.
Stray/Hitman is the mashup we didn't know we needed.
I'm 35 this year and only just watched the main big Ghibli movies within the last year. You're not alone Andy.
Did you like them? I haven’t seen any
@@fungi5350 I absolutely love them. They're beautiful stories done in gorgeous animation.
I'm 51 and have never watched a Ghibli movie.
I’m 32 and still not watched any really except My Neighbor Totoro due to how cuddly the protagonist’s main animal freind looks 😅😅😅😅
the thing is Jane if there were two crows it would be an attempted murder *flees*
Watched this video with my cat sleeping in my lap
nice stream to relax with, great to see that Ellen got the cat back home
54:30 Ya'll want some tears... "Me and Little Andy" Dolly Parton. I've seen grown men cry.
Fun fact: Most common find mudlarking is clay pipes
I've been playing a cutesy game called Kena Bridge of Spirits. Some of the best sound in a game I've heard in a long time.
How has there never been a cat/dog game like this called ‘paws and effect’
Going to the Limp Bizkit concert in about a week and one of the selling points was that Corey Feldman is one of the openers.
Big Incompetent Cats sounds like a punk band from the 90s.
I remember Silvervale (Vtuber) playing this game and naming the cat after her previous cat
And getting even more sappy telling us about him
I have been waiting to see Ellen play this since it hit Games Pass
Make Andy watch "Grave of the Fireflies."
@Jane re allergies, I will say my family has always had cats and I was always fine, but when I moved out there was a period of about a month or so before I moved my cats into the apartment, and when I did I suddenly had difficulty breathing for like a week and then my body chilled out again. Exposure I guess, just gotta suffer it out and show your body who's boss. @Andy maybe try the same with peanuts, who knows
Ellen had better reactions when she was playing Stray.
The stutter on this stream is extremely bad. Was Ellen using the same machine to stream as she's playing the game on? I haven't played LKBC, but it seems like the freezes are happening where CPU spikes from the game loading stuff are occurring.
Anyone else find it a bit choppy at the start? Or is that just my internet?
It sadly goes through the whole video/stream.
Unwatchable I'm afraid, video is full of dropped frames and stutters constantly.
Well, I have the attention span of a brick wall, and I managed to muddle through just fine. You’ll be okay! Or, not. Womp, womp…
Gotta buy the game and play it yourself, I guess.
The constant buffering is so annoying 😢
Were you okay?? Did you survive??
Title has same energy as dude in his late 30s crying over a star wars trailer...
Yup, there is a charm to Ellen that is so attractive.
"Little Lord Andy Farrantleroy" invites you to his presence. Those that fail to arrive in a timely manner will be found, beaten, and brought to his presence, so please, arrive early.
I thought this was exaggerating but somehow I was found despite not even living in Britain!
@@mar_speedman Bet you'll show up early next time.
Oh, goodie goodie gumdrops! Another chance... nay, OPPORTUNITY, to watch Ellen descend into a cuteness-induced dissociative fugue-state!
Aaah, all the ingredients of a cosy stream - the Futurama dog, dead pets, cats eating their owner's faces, horse teeth in the Thames …
I expect Prince Andy to be wearing a little cravat and a powdered wig next time, now that his identity is revealed.
Stream starts at 0:32! Kitty shenanigans happen not long after!
LADS!
LADS!
Thanks my dude
The stream started the exact moment I read your comment.
..the cat returns (studio ghibli) doesn't seem as strange but still only a few left unwatched
Setting up Just Crow Things for multiplayer would be just murder
I see what you did there
Multiplayer? Or Crow-op?
Ooh you mentioned the cut sleeve from a Chinese manuscript, and it's actually a really cool bit of queer history! In the original story, the emperor was snuggled up with his "Favourite" (read: male lover) and had to go to court. To avoid waking his sleeping boyfriend he cut part of he sleeve off, and so attended court with a rather bold new asymmetric look. When the story spread amongst the court, they started cutting their own sleeves to emulate the Emperor's style, either to flatter him or to suggest that they too had a sleeping lover back home whom they cared enough for to cut their sleeve. I'm not sure whether the story itself is apocryphal or not, but it was certainly retold in oral tradition as a paragon example of romantic love. Sadly in modern times the story is often retold with the lover replaced by a dog or cat, because modern Chinese homophobes like to pretend that queerness is a western invention that is just recently arrived in China, hence the version Jane heard.
More details (and sources) can be found on the History Is Gay podcast if you're interested.
Now what was I doing? Oh yes cat video 😁
I've never heard of the History Is Gay Podcast. Thank you so much for mentioning it here. 💗
Glad to see that Ellen kept her ability to turn into a cat, even after Merilwen's story got wrapped up
Since it came up a few times, the Covid lockdown streams are my favorite content, not just from OxBoxTra, but on the whole Internet. I rewatch them about 5 times a year
I love Andy but if we're allowed to set him the homework of watching several hours of Jane unpacking boxes he might start the cosy streams with 30% less noise, stress and sarcasm 😉💖💖
Edit: p.s. if Andy could start the chaos steam with 30% more of all 3 I will appreciate that equally
It's like Hitman. Or I think you mean...Agent FUR-ty Seven?
whosoever made this is a brilliant animator! 🤩🤩🤩😍
noooo Andy - start with "Grave of the fireflies", that ought to take the "I don't watch anime, I'm an adult" out of you...
Never knew Andy has the confidence of horses when he was a kid
Ellen please do a full lets play livestream of Another Crab's Treasure, FromSoftware gameplay meets Spongebob Squarepants. Full of puns and pain.
Jane: "I hear a sparkling, jingling sound."
Me: _Flashbacks to the old Lego Star Wars games and their minikit canisters_
Man, how did I get all the way through this game without realising the hats worked as disguises?!
While I did the lag and the shutters annoying while watching, I loved listening to this stream. Awesome chill vibes as you guys chatted. ❤
I don't think it's "we had a bunch of animals" that's tagging Andy as inordinately wealthy and privileged - it's that he can afford to travel to a bunch of foreign nations. I can't afford to travel. I can barely afford to eat - and Andy's claiming that he's not privileged and wealthy? Sheesh.
The game's designed to have you seek out and eat four fish in order to finish it. I didn't know that and somehow finished it twice with only three fish.
What is it with Andy and testicular talk lately. First on latest Mom Can't Cook episode, and now here on Ellen's nice stream. 😂
He's around the age where every third email and text message starts be about your balls in some manner: whether it's reminding you to check them yourself, letting your GP have a look at them, sending pictures of them to the NHS for a research project etc.
Nah, my headcanon is that Luke finally found out about Ellen's trip to Legoland, and couldn't handle it.
I just finished watching the Borderlands movie in theaters. Yeah kinda sh*t.
Andy is right, cats hide when they are going to die. They are afraid predators will find their body, and they want to keep their family safe.
Much needed dose of high-level wholesomeness and low-key banter! 💚
31:01 I was waiting for the Hitman comparison, I'm glad it came this natural as well
They didn't even have to put Ellen's face in the thumbnail, the title alone, we already know who the grown woman who cries at video game cat is :P
This was such an adorable stream!
Sympathies with the choppy internet. Mine has been dodgy for two days. Maybe it's a London thing...
Absolutely floored by the revelation that Andy has never seen a Ghibli fim...huge if true. And this needs to be rectified ASAP
I also appreciate Andy having a haunted mansion fact for every occasion, and I don't even care about disneyworld
If I had a black cat like this, I would call it Alchemy.
Ellen's Internet going "nah mate, no stream for you today". Oh well, the game is very cute and worth your time, folks.
I now have visions of a young Andy like a young Mr Burns in a Dodgem crippling an Irishman xD
Fun fact: Big Kitty, Little City is an achievement in this game. You'll recognize it when you see it.
How has Ellen not played Catlateral Damage? One of the best cat destruction games ever.
Andy should start with grave of the fireflies
Loved that Ellen finally got to this XD I played most of this before the stream happened and didn't know you could name the cat, so when that happened at the end for me, I was moved with happiness because I had to name him after our family's black cat 'Fred', because he was the kindest, gentlest cat soul you ever knew, so with this I can have a Fred again ^^
This one wins the loveliest stream of all time award! Thanks so much.
When I was little our cat who liked to hang out in the laundry got washed in the washing machine. She was fine was only in there for little a minute before my mom heard her. The vet did tell us that the washing machine was better than the dryer.
Loving the streams! Such a fantastic way to finish the working week
25:06 - Andy getting roasted for not watching Ghibli films.
Just skip the Ghibli movies and jump straight into the deep end.
Watch Call of The Night / Yofukashi no Uta.
It's got vampires, romance, and a banging soundtrack.
Oh, and my comment about avoiding Japan when it's 40°C and humid is just a heads-up.
Do go to Japan if you get an opportunity, the summer scenery is amazing with every bit of plant life from forests to rice fields being as lush as you can imagine.
Tokyo is a concrete oven in my opinion, and it feels way worse than somewhere rural where you can go for a walk in a forest or maybe get to some mountains.
Damn, I want to go to Japan again 😅
Never tire of Andy's Agent 47 voice xD
My little black cat loved watching this stream
We need to get Ellen a buddy who shares her excitement for cats
1:04:35 "Why did no one tell me this game is like _Hitman_ but you're a cat?"
Well that's a quote for the GotY edition box cover.
Definitely game of the year for Ellen :D
You just reminded me of *yet another* Oxboxtra tradition Luke will no longer be a part of :(
Are we close to finding out that "Andy" is actually named Percival?
They finally found a way to get Ellen to play Hitman! Er... Hitcat?
I bought this game at about 1:30:00 in the stream. So now your sponsors know what to expect when they feed you money for a stream.
48:40 Time-stamping when my message got noticed by some of my favourite UA-camrs so I can obtain the serotonin wherever I need to :D
So happy I got my y’all to laugh ^^
Remember the "space jerk" stream of Andromeda and Starfield? It would be perfect for a KoToR stream
Noooo. KotOR does not have Space Jerk energy at all. It has Space Traitorous Murderer energy. I mean have you SEEN the dark side ending??
I can confirm as someone with a ragdoll and a partner who has a pretty bad cat allergy, they've never once had a reaction to my cat xD
I honestly wondered how long It’d take for you to play this game.
I know a mudlarker! If you want the connect, let me know!
1:26:00 I had the same concern for sanitary food prep & storage standards
Major Andy lore dropped this stream.
I'm getting some serious "Untitled Goose Game" vibes from this game... and I am here for it...
It's that but without the jerk factor.
As purr my last e-mail.
"... Again." Needs to be added to the title.
There's an international shop in Upton Park/East Ham with a shop cat - correction, two shop cats. For those interested, it's a couple of doors along from the Doctor Who shop :-)
If you like Gacha machines, come to Taiwan. A lot of the stores will sell you complete sets. (And they don't add anything to the cost!)
Excellent and wonderful! Nice job, Ellen! Banh Mi was adorable.
This was a fun watch
I'd seen something the other day, which was suggesting that cats socialise to whichever animal group cats grow up around (if they are healthily integrated into the group) they then see themselves as being the same as their family unit
This game is so wholesome! 10/10, I needed a game that is both fun and wholesome
Andy: “I’m an adult.” And immediately starts laughing is so good 😂
Jane taking about Plea From A Cat Named Virtue by The Weakerthans hell yeah great band
Wow such a cute game and with Ellen at the controls even better good video you guys.😊
