I’m only 10 Minutes into this video and it’s amazing. Super concise and clear! I’m actually looking to become a CCIM member so I’m grateful for this clarity and understanding
Hey Alexis! You don't have to be licensed to take the class. In fact, many different professionals are part of the organization (i.e. lenders, lawyers, contractors etc.). Definitely look into taking the courses!
Great question! You do not need to be licensed to get your CCIM. Many lawyers, bankers and other non-brokerage professionals carry a CCIM designation. Highly recommend checking it out if you are interested.
What’s best way to go about gettin the experience for CCIM? I’m a current residential primary agent really trying to make that switch. I’ve done 1 sale and 4 leases so far but I’m not one to come across these deals very often.
Hey Sean! That's a great question. I would ask, does your brokerage have a commercial arm? If so, I would try to make it known that you are interested in moving in that direction. Having said that, I think the best way to get more commercial deal flow is to join a commercial brokerage. Since you're around others every day who operate in the space, you can pick their brain, follow their methods, and potentially even get looped in on deals. Hope this helps.

That’s great to hear! Best of luck with getting your designation.
