5:30 Bret Hart said the same thing in his book. Just starting as a pro, and was unsure about his performance. Roddy Piper came up to him and said, "You know EXACTLY how it went, don't say anything about it." Solid advice.
I love the last point. I can be pretty bad about being too self-deprecating and overly criticizing my work to anyone who’ll listen. I’ll keep this in mind whenever I feel like I didn’t do well.
I know that after a long match, it feels like our work is done. And part of it is...the wrestling part. But we're also professionals, and that's a piece that is often neglected. What's been your experience after a performance?
You know, the more I learn about the backstage goings-on of the wrestling business, the more it seems to me that respect is more important in wrestling than in any other job.
I think the worst thing I’ve done is leave a show after my performance. I watched a video on locker room etiquette and talked with my teacher, both said that it’s very important to stay for the rest of the show. Because not only are we performing for the fans we’re also performing for the guys in the back. So it’s much more respectful and professional to stay for the other matches. Unless you’re working 2 shows in one night.

I'd also thank the referee, personally. He/She is a part of the match just as much as the opponent. Looking forward to more episodes.

Guys should also take the time to thank the referee of their contest as well.

I really like that - even though I'm not in your business - I can always learn something, which I can implement in my own job.

Love the content it's been helpful.
Glad to hear it, Cody!
Have you covered what to expect after wrestling school or being in wrestling school events.
That last one was a bit of a shocker I’d figured that came from a place of honesty so I was shocked to hear that but a great video
All of this makes perfect sense!!!!!
What about asking the people backstage who were watching if they liked it?
I bet it was ROH and Gabe he was talking about.
I'll never tell! :P
My God Mike, turn that microphone down. It's hotter than fire ant tag
These early ones are pretty rough! The more current ones...are substantially improved, I promise!
This video has been great. I'm working with my first vet in a couple weeks. So it's good to know. I'm love wrestling so much
