on repeat, on repeat , on repeat. trying to hold it all in,. when a relationship falls apart and there's a child involved, you feel so guilty because ou want your kid to grow up happily .. but the tears are coming down hard right about now, thank you though staind because it was all bottled up and i needed to let it all out.
I felt that brother just went through same thing a year ago and still gets to me every day. My addiction screwed my marriage up she waited 3 years on me it got to late and 2 years later I finally got rock bottom and changed gave it all up. I finally found myself and started to love myself again after I did I tryed fighting for my ex wife and daughter back but I waited to long it sucks lossing your soulmate it’s been over a year I still cry everyday nobody has ever done that to me but I know everything happens for a reason and as long as their happy that’s all I care about. Iv felt real love and I can life the rest of my life happy if I never find love again. I’m at peace with everything. It will get better I promise
I found this song as a hidden bonus track on the 14 shades of grey DVD. If you navigate "UP" from "Surround Tracks" you'll land on "Shades" in the title of the DVD, and it takes you to this song!!!
everytime i listen to staind, i am feeling much better. this band is like a psychologist, if you have a bad day or you're feeling bad. god damn, i'm just loving this band so much. hope they never die!
I love this song. It helped/helps me through the toughest times of my life. I like how Aaron seems to sing about you, it's scary. "I try to move on, nothing left to hurt me now".
As a musician and a huge fan of Staind. I can honestly say that the heavier music is great for a while but it becomes more challenging to be creative when you only limit yourself to one redundant style of music. Every album they release always seems to be right where i am in life..Aaron Lewis is a great front man without all the flash and annoying stage stunts so many so called musicians find necessary these days..I've loved this song since it was just a rough video caught on tape.
Would like to meet Aaron lewis one day before I go... His words and music have touched my life in so many songs! But I know that will not happen..I'm not rich and have Damn bills!! :-) :/ everything costs money.. ide enjoy to sit down and play a song with him..just one...
U and me both dude! Staind has been my therapists since my teenage years...got me through a lot of bad times. If i ever meet the band or even just Aaron...i am handing them a check for all the years of therapy plus All the years to come cause i know im still gonna need them!
i have met aaron in 2009 in front of the live music hall in cologne we took a photo together and he signed my illusion of progress record. it was absolutly surreal to meet someone you only know from records or videos. i hope you guys will one day get the same chance !!
Brian Thompson hes a really mellow dude . Im from Springfield mass same place hes from . Worked the door at infinity night club when staind was just starting out local before their breakthrough. Hes chill . Quite type of guy ...
I never believed anyone when they said, "Oh this song [insert track name] is totally the song of my life," and then I heard this song... This song is the one that I feel sincerely relates to my life.
I've seen staind 3 times and it's just amazing, I've been to his rock concerts and his country, I've known him for a very long time, staind will always have a place in my heart, I have a music room in my house to staind, I play guitar and can play every single song by staind, I know every song and have ever album, staind will always be my favorite band
My first Staind record was break the cycle in 2002 since this album i´m a very big fan. I have seen Staind live 4 times in cologne and one time at Rock am Ring. I have seen a lot of Bands but Aarons voice is the best out there. It´s very sad that Aaron don´t want to record a new album with Staind....but the country stuff runs very well.
Been a fan since dysfunction. I was heavy into rap at the time and I heard mudshovel and it was like he was singing exactly what was in my head at the time. I bought the album and bought tormented and I never looked back. Even got me into guitar shortly after lol. I met aaron 2 years ago at a Sinners album signing and I took my old dysfunction paper back instead. I never get star struck but this was someone I looked up to since I was 13. All I could say was thank u and the song Me what it meant to me. I'll always cherish that moment
Jaded I bought a baritone this past year. Can really appreciate those heavy mike mushok riffs from dysfunction w it . Learned Home and suffocate so far
this song has opened my heart and my mind and helped me to just let thing goes so that i may live another day in this world as a more calm minded person.
thanks aaron for the music all these tuned down songs mean a lot to me and have got me through some tuff times I've played these songs on my guitar when I've been in some really bad places in my head thanks for making me not feel alone
His music always seems to fit in some part of your life.. I love his music it's truly heart felt. This song can't be more true but how do we just walk away ?sometimes it just takes time to realize life is too short to stay in the same circle of motion.. Walking away might be the only why to stop the pain.
i remember always listening to this song when me and my ex went our seperate ways..wanted to get back and work shit out but deep down i knew we werent right for each other. Staind has been my escape many a times.hope i can shake Aarons hand sumday or fire up a blunt w em lol
Getting closure with your past is one of the hardest things to do, but it has to be done sometimes... I think thats the point Aaron was making when writing this song...
i agree with jaywill009 this is probably one of favorite songs by staind. Its a shame that this wasn't released to the masses. This is just amazing. Only Aaron lewis can pull off saying "fucked up shit" in a ballad...Aaron is a sincere poetic genius. Mike is a fantastic guitarist and the whole band in general will always be the best in my eyes.
Staind's music is the truest definition of hope, hang in there and you'll find various angles to cope because life's events are episodic, bad things fade in time.
This song means a lot to me. Because I have had a cousin pass away from heroine addiction I think about my cousin everyday and wish he could’ve kicked the drug. Thank you arroan Lewis for helping me get through this from your music even though it’s really hard :(
@SneakyAo1 Sure they started out pretty heavy on Tormented and Dysfunction but for a long time they've been a very multigenerous band, showing sides of heaviness and softness, something I have all the respect in the world for. Not something many bands can pull off. Especially not as well as Staind.
Stained is one of the best, most under appreciated artists out there. But it's okay, what he lacks in fans he makes up for with super cool awesome mega ultra kittyamazing fans. AMIRITE? ;D
the sound quality of this video is quite exceptional for a 2007 upload. thanks for publishing this 13 years ago man, hope you're doing okay in life.. and are alive.
This song helped me to grieve after my Mom, Tricia passed away due to metastatic breast and bone cancer. Mom passed August 19th 2014. My Warrior of a Mother beat Cancer twice before. 2 separate tumors, both cancerous were removed with no complications both times. I love you Mom. I know you are having a blast in Heaven ❤️❤️❤️❤️💔 #Staind #LetItOut #ReleaseItPlease #PatriciaAnneJillett(Damon) RIP #FckCancer 4:56
One helluva song. I remember back in the day. 2K - 2002 when Stain were a fuckin giant of a band. I heard someone say they didn't care for them cuz Aaron whined to much. Couldn't believe what I was hearing. Thats the power of music. Expression and creativity. I don't think he whines at all. It's real life. Can't talk about partying, fuckin or Satan all the damn time lol. Sometimes it's good to let it out. That's exactly what he does and he's got my upmost respect today.
@blooddevl666 - Hah, of course. I just figured that was implied. :p You're absolutely right. No combination of words could amount to how phenomenal they are. They're terribly underrated.
My favorite song on this CD. And yes Aaron has a good voice. When he sings slow. Dont forget about the band staind really good band. With out the band no afence to Aaron he can sing by him self just fine. But the. Band fits with Aarons voice.
man right now i must say this .. i used to listen this band a long ago like ages now but i don't know why ? this songs comes to my lips all the time i mean i am getting sick of it help out !!..
Let it all go , feels so much better now. Nothing left to hurt me now.

It doesn't cure but for the time being it does fs

Staind's dissonance and weeping chords are mesmerizing.
I love this song. It helped/helps me through the toughest times of my life. I like how Aaron seems to sing about you, it's scary.
