Nearly end of 2020...this scene still gets me. I can say with all of my heart and soul, that this is one of my most favorite shows ever. The emotional depth it shows...it's insane. It really feels like you're with the characters...the artistry, the videography, the actual actors and their artistry...this is a golden show. So glad I watched this.
@@DanceAcademyOfficial My favorite scene is the most beginning scene, where she dances in such a carefree way! Another favorite is this dance scene, full of passion, emotion, technique, and artistry.
This performance is so incredible. It suits her perfectly. She is able to transcend her feelings perfectly, that's why it's so amazing. She just puts all her feelings in this and if it doesn't bring tears to your eyes, there's something wrong with you. Grace's character just sucks and her version is boring and devoid of all feelings. Tara just blows me away☆
First of all, Tara should have won with this dance. There is no realistic way that grace would've won. Tara managed to touch everyone in the audience with her dance! I was a little mad because she gave her all and didn't win.
I think Tara didn't win because she danced with Ben to remember Sammy and she got disqualified for that since she didn't tell the judges with anticipation.
Laura Gilbert I think saskia said sorry in her own way, like she’s obviously very prideful but she coached Tara with her 3rd year peace, as well as the book Tara continually writes in, saskia gave to her. She said sorry in her own way, like she should of actually said the words I’m sorry for ... but ya know, she confines in Tara about giving up her dance career, Tara confines in her about her struggles. They had a weird friendship in the end but they didn’t hate eachother
@@meganmoore154 I notice Saskia has a problem with Tara dancing any of the variations or Ballet's that she has danced. Saskia is very jealous of Tara and her talent☆
I will never not cry during this dance. It is so emotional and the actors did an amazing job conveying this. Everything about this show is so good, the writing, the cast, the development and depth... just wow. I watched this show for the first time when I was 11 or 12 and 8 years later I still take new life lessons from this show. That's what makes is truly a great show.
"Help yourself T" gets me, i remember watching this episode and balled at this scene. Watching made me feel like sammy helped tara get through the pain of losing him, and the pressure of grace. Tara gave it her all in that and deserved to win the Prix.
Its been a long time since I saw this for the first time (I got my family hooked on it during quarantine and my mom cried like a baby) this whole scene is just beyond words but the scene where Tara is crying as she's spinning always gets me
Grace sheds a tear because she knows she's completely devoid of real emotion aside from jealousy, anger, and wrath. Anyone ever watched The Originals, season 4? Grace perfectly encapsulates a dark, vengeful, and powerful Native American spirit called The Hollow. Grace's character even functions in a similar way to The Hollow, at first conning the group into thinking adding her in will give them more power, but only serving to sow seeds of discourse and unhappiness and splitting the core group apart. Grace is the Dance Academy version of The Hollow and nothing will convince me otherwise. The actress who plays Grace is extremely good at what she does but I was so relieved she wasn't in the Dance Academy film because I hate her career. She reminds me of so many of my middle school and high school bullies: blonde, beautiful, and evil. I'm 35 and I still adore this show because it reminds me of my youth. I didn't go to a ballet academy full time but from the time I was six weeks old I was working in the entertainment industry: starting with beauty pageants and modeling/commercials, then moving on to dance and singing at age three, acting at five. By the time I was 14 approximately 10 hours a day was dedicated to training in singing, performing, dancing, and acting. I identify heavily with Tara because when you spend your entire childhood preparing for something and it doesn't work out, what do you do instead? I have felt lost ever since I lost my record deal and I don't think I'll ever find myself again. :( Sidenote: I also adore Tara because she looks very similar to my 14 year old daughter.
Dance Academy is my favourite series since I'm 6 years old ,now I'm 13 and this dance is so emotional and beautiful and sad because Sammy was my favourite character😭
i watched this scene when i was young and thought ''oh thats sad'' few years went by i lost 3 people that i loved in the spam of a year. now i cant watch it without crying
I would have liked to see Tara’s first showing if the red shoes, back before Saskia destroyed her, when she first danced it. That was excellent. This performance was great, but there were movie magic interruptions
I watch this scene from time to time and every single time I watch it, it causes the same impact on me. Gives me the chills, gets all emotional and I always shed a couple of tears. BEAUTIFULLY DONE🥺🤍
She broke Tara's back by pushing her leg up even though she was told to stop, I'm not a dancer but how is that ok and she looked pure evil whenever talking to her despite Tara looking up to her
@@muffinmonster2634 not just oh sad, she misused her power to harm a child, then said its not my fault she couldn't take it. Also tge company doctor was so protecting the teacher and tara got kicked out for seeing an outside doctor.
BACK IN 2024 BCOS THIS SHOW WAS AMAZING
LETS GO
I always cry so hard watching this scene. It's so strong and relatable. Best series ever. ❤️

I cry everytime Tara cries. Up to this day, I can't figure out why.
I don’t always appreciate Tara’s dancing but this scene always makes me cry. It is the greatest scene of the series.
We love it, too 💖🥰

True but I remember in the episode they said Grace’s technique was perfect, hence why she won
Technique over artistry
yourstruly compétition judge technical and emotional execution
I think it was also because she had to realise that winning was not what she wanted the most and stuff
I get shivers every time I watch this scene
Gosh, even tho I've seen this scene like a 100 times it still makes me cry... So powerful!
Am I the only one who feels like what Saskia did to Tara needed resolution or justice or at least a scene of Tara acknowledging it

I hear you. I think she had a dance double, but I have no proof...

@@takenoprisoners837 It's in the end credits of the episode who had a dance double and who they were. :)
My thoughts exactly. She broke someone's back because they were younger and a better dance than her and was never punished.
I cried when this first aired.
the only time i’ve ever gotten goosebumps at a TV show was this scene , so intense
Do you like the series?
Oh my god i never noticed this ,, dude i love the show !! it’s just so good ,, love from scotland 🏴
My chills have chills. Still one of the best dances on the show
