  • Hey everyone hope you enjoy this dope video. We just secured another big fleet contract with a local company here in STL. It’s great to have these type of things going for your business only if you can handle them. In other questions about how to achieve or go about fleet washes or details or even contracts let me know 🤟

    Hey man I know I'm late to this video but I would appreciate if you could help me out. I own a detailing business (3 years now) and I'm really considering just going full time with fleet work and dealerships and completely cut out residential work. I know it's more work and less pay but with employees I figured it would be pretty scalable and more sustainable. Running ads and going out to find a new residential client everyday can be stressful and you never know where your next job is. I figured going full time with fleet work and contracts that would help solve that. It just seems way more scalable and return more profitable. I just don't really know where to start as far as getting fleet clients. Any tips? Should I just be cold calling business. Thanks man

      Hey man I’m putting together a free and paid course on how I have gotten we’re I am today with my business. So subscribe and be on the look out for that next year.
      But this question comes up a lot and can get super long so I will keep it short. First I would look at your pricing, if you let barley making enough to quite then now is not the time to go full time. Wait till you are literally making more then your job pays and it’s consistent. Secondly employees is another ball game. Your work has to speak for itself and every job has to be close to perfect as possible. Along with that bookings, website, cold calls, in person impression literally everything about you has to say I’m not new at this. Lastly contact work is good but it can definitely be exhausting… you will be getting paid less but expected to go above and beyond just how you would detailing a customer car. No days off and depending if you have employees wish by the way is a good idea to have because of the volume of work you will be getting you will have to check everything and make sure everyone is happy. Not trying to scare you but it’s definitely worth it if you give it your all but it comes with a lot and that’s what I will be talking about.

    Hi boss I have been thinking about doing fleet washing too but how do you get them to pay you like they direct pay you through your business account or they give you a check how does it work for you?

      Usually with fleet work they pay you once they have the fleet done and finished. Fleet detailing is not a consistent business you will do a fleet and not have to do the fleet until 6 months to a year later depending on what company. Also depending on size and what type of service they want make sure you are making good money. Cause it will take all day if not weeks

    How do you figure your prices with a fleet

    • @Iconautosports
      @Iconautosports  2 роки тому +3

      With fleet pricing it can be tricky. First you have to figure out are they going to send you work every 6 months or once a year or actually have you come out every so often to maintain them. If your coming out to just maintain them then you can definitely throughly them a deal because you’ll be seeing the fleet every other week or third week and if your just seeing them every 6 months to a year then you know every time it will depending on how many vehicles it will take you a day or two to complete then I would definitely not cut them a deal. Also one major thing to consider is to ask them what they want done. A lot of times these companies just want a basic wash, vacuum and wipe down, they aren’t looking for a showroom detail. Plus if you have any workers/help make sure they and you come out on top and make what your daily goal is. Everything from timing/how many days, product use, workers pay, vehicle size and what they want done (charge more if one vehicle need special attention). All these factors play a role! DO NOTE BE SCARED TO START HIGH. If they say that’s to much then list out what’s all getting down for that price and then say “ but if you guys aren’t looking for that and just want something simple we can work on a custom quote”………. Works every time 👍

    I'm new to detailing and I'm trying to get my speed up, be more time and product efficient. If not too much to ask ,I would like to know how many vehicles you got done in those two days, generally how long it takes to go through a whole normal dirty vehicle and most importantly what's your step by step procedure and tools used. Any other advice you have will be appreciated.

      Detailing in general you have to kind of find a method that works best for you. It’s hard to tell you what to do to make you faster without missing anything. So just focus on good quality work, that way you can get good and then start charging your worth. Plus since your just starting focusing and learning the ins and outs of every car is key cause each car is different.
      Me personally I pretty much have detailed every car there is so I’m pretty comfortable flying through a car and not missing anything. I average about 4-5 cars a day and some times other different services that I offer in between.
      As far as tools, depending on if your mobile( car size) or location. Find some good products to use, power washer, generator, water tank, vacuum, air compressor ect.
