Hilti TE6C not hammering. full strip down, repair, clean out and rebuild.

This older hilti te6c sds drill is no longer on sale. but parts are still available for them to repair. an equivalent size sds hilti drill would cost around 600 euro.
This onebroke the con rod for the piston so it would no longer hammer. required a full strip down and clean to make sure No pieces of the broken piston remained inside.
quite a lengthy repair this one, as they can be difficult to dismantle and rebuild.
This full repair job cost around 100 euro all in. compared to 600 for a new drill.

I have a TE6-B that hammer drills, but the hammer only function turns as if it is in hammer-drill mode. Drill only mode seems normal. Is there a simple fix for this symptom?
