In PoE you can play as the Necromancer Ascendancy. Usually minion damage won't work for attack and spells but there is a node on the skilltree 'Spiritual Aid' that allows minion damage to affect you, so you can live out that fantasy.
So obviously there are unknowns for PoE2 but my inclination would be to start Monk class and somehow make the minions work instead of going witch--->necro ascendancy, or possibly even druid when that's available and use some minion passives there and figure out a way to work in the quarterstaff abilities with the skeletons. We'll see! Im sure ill be able to figure out something.
@@off-meta-michael Spiritual Aid is available to all classes in PoE it's just a passive tree node. It's seems a lot of nodes made it into PoE 2. In PoE 1 its in the top left corner (str, int, by templar), Monk will be (Int, dex) top right, so thats totally doable. I'm sure they will keep it in the int area and make it's way into PoE 2, might even end up closer to Monk
Great sound track. the sc 3/15/15 is a gg lld charm.. bet that was costly. Nice golem wand. Just so you know you need to equip that before leaving game golem gets recast at start of every game. 14:00 necro is the most painful deaths :p

@@off-meta-michael I cant wait for PoE 2. My fav in PoE 1 was the curupted summon skely gem as it collects charges and can be casted on boss's without corpses. It summons an insane size army in PoE 1.

@@off-meta-michael I never got in to it in PoE 1 but there's contribute packages that you can buy allowing you to put on skins.. Its cosmetics are great vs d2r.
In trying to keep with the monk theme, would you consider equipping a Pride polearm or spear (selecting a polearm/spear that looks closest to a staff. Also, I'm sure I've seen some monks in movies/games wielding a long staff with a blade at the end). Then using an Act3 Enchant Merc with Last Wish + Beast Iron Golem. Resulting in Concentration + Fantaticsm + Might + Enchant for all minions and yourself.
@@RareFXChrisC i do like that idea. it's an interesting way to get the same stack of buffs that i have here. I like that each skeleton would get the enchant. Although, the necro's melee damage would be a lot less. There's no enhanced damage on the Pride runeword. Also the redemption aura is godly on pheonix. You'd start to experience lot more close calls without it. I really dont wanna lose a Beast Iron Golem. I think if i were to build into pride id want a slightly different setup that also takes advantage of the "firewall when struck" so maybe get the Bone runeword instead of enigma and synergize bone spears and bone armor to make up for the lack of damage on the pride. The use Naj's on swap to get around. Id have to try it out.
Level 52 iron golem with a level 92 character using CTA and Redemption gives enough survivability to make sure you don't die. Also, i have 4 Beast runewords and several Ber runes. So giving up one for this didn't hurt so bad.
Yea all the music in this video is recorded and performed by me. The "We Have Gear" theme is new and only on 3 videos so far. The ambiance track is me noodling on guitar with some effects. The song during the combat montage is an original as well written for the build. If you look at my latest videos each build since the "Summoner druid DELETES entire game" video has an original unique song behind the combat montage. Drums are programmed using a very nice VST called Superior Drummer. i cannot play drums, but know how they work decently well. It takes a long time to program but I'm able to pursue my song ideas this way without needing a drummer every video. Vocals, bass, guitar, and piano are me actually playing the instruments. Anyway, that's my format now. I write a new tune every build that i put out for diablo 2 and eventually will be the case for PoE2 as well. Keeps me in a writing mode and playing music a lot again. I let it go for a few years during covid and became kinda miserable without it. Thanks
Its really nice, i just dont like the idea that i will loose this weapon from the Iron golem. I know its estetic build, but hey.... :) different people different estetics ;P

And i still managed to make a hybrid build that one shots some enemies with the necro himself while having a 2 second clear on bosses and this is somehow a problem for you and not off-meta enough? It doesn't matter either because nobody owns a build idea in d2. You can do the same thing and give your take on it. We're too close to early access for PoE2. Im glad there won't be a Meta established for that game yet. So, im just gonna wait for that. I have another one that worked really well too. I called it Rogue MeleeMancer and he used warshreik and a blood golem with 65k life haha
