Hey Greg so I'm stringing my first head ad it's a maverik bad boy and I know you usually don't do stringing videos on beginner sticks but I want to get it right and learn from the best
You guys really don't need a tutorial do you? look at the stills on the ECD facebook page or pause the video at 0:10 and 0:12 then follow how the black n white strings move through the mesh (they're helpfully all different colours to make it really easy). any other info is specific to the lakota head and so is unnessesary if you're trying on a PP or Evo etc.
Do most of these sticks you make videos for have releases that you can feel roll/ snap off the shooters or are they predominantly smoother, less snappy/feely releases?
Me, my friend, and a kid named Liew did this 4 years ago so we could get a nice box channel really easily. I should've documented it when we discovered it...
I have this in a old warrior outlaw, its amazing and super accurate and has a TON of hold. A TON.
This may be just me but i found this top string extremely helpful for wider defensive heads like the hammer and gives you a very nice defined channel.
I tried the low pocket with this and it's the best pocket I've ever strung and the channel is so tight that I don't need shooters
This is a nice option for Tribe 7 heads...usually I had used Huron or Iroquios top strings to get around thevlack of sidewall holes up top...Thanks!

This ain't even new, my friend did it last year in his clutch 2x he didn't have enough top string so he did it
matt pratt is from Chenango forks, that's why its called that
I kind of had the same idea. Didn't know it was already popular! Mine is a little less extreme though.
@EastCoastDyes why not just tie the shooters really tight to make that middle section not so loose ?

I think I got it down, only problem is I did it on a pinched torque with old bagged marc mesh.

It sounds like it's spelled. I live about 10 miles from Chenango Forks where Matt Pratt grew up.
I used mine with a bag it works well it shifts a little but not that bad
@14laxnmbr30 A Nike Lakota without the swoosh on top or a ball stop.
I have one in a Lakota with one top string 2 diamonds down and it is great! There is a great channel made by splits. Super accurate and sexy.
