If the poles are grounded it should be ok. I have set another one of these up on a pole when high ground without grounding the pole and it worked fine :)
not sure to be honest. installed it as stated. SWR good. my poles are grounded though; I have some copper cable going to a metal tent peg that has been driven into the ground.
the little hole is to let out any water that may get in it. .. I changed the N connector on mine to a standard pl259.

lol, yep fair play. I have had some superb results off it. 45 mile contact last night with just 2W! :)
Do i have to ground it, or can i just mount it on a metal pole.. ? Greetings =)
ah brill, cheers
cool antenna looks the bizz
Looks tidy and a useful antenna, even if not technically allowed for 446 family radio...not that anyones bothered.....LOL
can this be used with a standard cb
Not a 27Mhz CB Radio no. If you're using a UHF CB in Australia, Sirio do make a version that covers up to 480Mhz
I'm sure if it needed one, Sirio would have included it :)
the hole let water out
Does it cover 2m
No
It does say on description the Mhz its used for
Try focusing your camera.
The phone I used to use didn’t have a way to get it to focus. Was a great phone in its day but not now.
