Land is very important and the government don't want us owning anything and they made it that basicly No one owns nothing ... forget to pay your taxes or have a gas line need ran trough your land and see how much you own it. Government is slowly taking away land rights. Also mineral rights are differnt than land rights and if you don't have them also you could possibly get screwed if they feel there is something of value under your ground.
