- Thank you for watching everyone. This is St Peter's Church at Sibton and was founded in the reign of William II (c.1100) by Robert de Camodo.[12] The church once had a spire which was added, along with a tower, in the 15th century. However, this spire came down about 200 years ago, although the tower still remains. After being out of use for many years the church has recently been restored, and £50,000 was raised to repair part of the roof.

This was nice. It's such a beautiful old church with beautiful grounds outside. I live in Maine in the USA, and the church that I belong to here has the oldest pipe organ in the New England states. Sure wish we didn't live across the pond. Thank you for this video Terry.

What a wonderful video! I love these old churches. Here in the US we don't see many of those! Loved the shots of the grounds and the cemetery as well as the beautiful interior. nice sound for such an old organ with "only" one manual. And a very cramped room for the organist, no place to get enthusiasm while sitting playing the organ.

Beautiful sounds and the keys are not as many as on piano and still you get the sounds out that are needed to let all know that it works.
As soon as you started playing I could almost smell the incense and felt like I should be standing, funny how the memory works with stuff like this.

Well done Terry and Eileen , I think you really got the 'best' sound that single manual organ could muster , very well done !! Again many 'atmospheric' shots setting the scene Eileen , I wonder if they're intending to replace the pews etc , they seem to be doing well , having raised the £50,000 for the roof !! A great upload , thanks to Mr and Mrs Miles !!
Unfortunately there is a trend in Anglican churches in UK to remove pews that are very old in favour of open spaces and modern chairs.
