Savjz was playing Rhonin + N'zoth at top 50 legend and it was doing quite well. It will definitely win you more games than Yogg, even though Yogg can sometimes bail you out if you end up in a bad situation.
don't know, my experiences with n'zoth are just dieing the turn after casting him, while yogg has given me back a lot, and i mean a lot of lsot games, yes sometimes he starfires me for the lose but yogg is stillprobably the most powerful card in hearthstone.
I run a pretty similar Reno-Monkey-Yogg Mage deck where I use Ysera instead of Ragnaros. She can potentially generate a lot of value, plus more cards to turn into legendaries via Elise. It's not exactly a replacement for Rag, but does potentially make the deck stronger in control match-ups vs. weaker against aggro. Otherwise I'd say Rag could be replaced with any similarly sized body. It won't be as effective, but it should be able to at least partly make up for the loss of Rag. Maybe a taunt like Bog Creeper, or Archmage Antonidas to get Fireballs.

How's that there are no shaman cancer decks on legend?? I played mage around rank 6-4 in August and all I found was warlocks/hunters/shamans face decks. A mage deck like this one from kibler wont even get to turn 8 against those face decks. I always need to adapt my mage decks to survive these cancer face decks, and it's so frustrating
Thats true. But taking into account that IceBlock+Monkey+Nzoth/Tony win almost any control deck (besides shadowstep NZoth =) ) you could fit a lot of antiaggro tools in. I put Vendor for 4 mana, Ice Barrier and Corrupted Seer (still testing this one). Obviously Ooze (Not Harrison). Taking all this now I can have a chance vs Aggro but MidHunter is still a problem for this deck - no matter what I put in =(
+den stranger I rarely face control decks, even warriors I fight with go rush weapon pirate. I replaced cabalist tomes with ethereals and the result was great, a big body on board and a spell of your choice, that allowed me to get higher in ranks, but when facing face decks, I die before turn10.

If you haven't already realised, the mirror triggers AFTER your opponent plays a minion, so your Sylvanis would have triggered after his I believe.

Almost all i've seen for the last 2 weeks have been control midrange or combo decks. But I didn't get past rank 6 last season
