Alto Choir Practice: "A German Requiem", Part 4 "How Lovely Is Thy Dwelling Place", by Johannes Brahms (1833 - 1897). "Ein Deutsches Requiem" , "A German Requiem" is a large-scale work for chorus and orchestra, composed between 1865 and 1868. It is comprised of seven movements. Nestled in the middle is a serene pastorale of exceptional beauty, and it is hardly surprising that "Wie lieblich sind deine Wohnungen" or "How Lovely Is Thy Dwelling Place" is so widely known and loved.
