Some were polite enough to ask and they were quite interested, while others became confrontational saying that I was doing something illegal. One particular day I was told to leave because “it’s not what we want in our public place”. It’s indeed unfortunate but more people are becoming more confrontational.

And I have found that nothing triggers people like antennas and that which they do not understand.
Never tried from a park. Either they don't have much open area for a decent antenna setup, or are near substations, or noise here (QRM/QRN).
