I don't know why all hate... Sure, it's the sexy concept like always yea, but the MV actually have a story. It's reinterpretation of the Aesop's fable "The Goose That Laid the Golden Eggs" I think it's really creative how they did this!! I enjoy the song too but it's obviously not for everyone.
I don't know why people worry about the concept so much. Concepts are just a marketing technique to grab the audiences attention with the visuals. Even though i am a diehard fan, If I had to say one thing i didn't like about kpop, it would be that the mv is released simultaneously (or even before) the album release. Honestly, to me, the whole video is about the whole dieting and eating restrictions idols, models, women, or whomever are put on. The whole diamonds vs. sweets is essentially the same thing as food vs. beauty (and over what is more important). I also had this long, well thought out paragraph talking about the slut shaming and super awesome (super not) labeling/stereotyping going on in the comments, but then I realized it's a waste of time and it's going to keep happening no matter what haha. This mv has a hidden meaning. I think that the old woman represents the kpop management and the way she watches them carefully on the tv screens to make sure they don't do anything stupid. I think the way she measures parts of their bodies represents how the idols need to maintain a certain body image. The way she throws the diamonds represents that the companies are making all the money on behalf of the idols. The whole video represents how the idols put on a show for their fans. This is my opinion.

Dustin Langewand Yes the only difference is that this is a sub-unit with four of the members from Rainbow :) The members in Blaxx are Jaekyung, Woori, Seungah, Hyunyoung ^__^ There's also another sub-unit which is called Rainbow Pixie and they have three members them being Seungah, Jisook, Hyunyoung :)

The DSP CEO wanted to try a sexy concept (this music video was made before it got really popular) and so they put the sexiest members of Rainbow into one group (since they all wouldn't have been able to pull it off). Unfortunately this was dropped after Girl's Day was dominating the charts with Something and AOA grabbed attention with the provocative 'Miniskirt' a week prior to this. So those 2 groups grabbed all the attention from RB. Cha Cha did alright on the charts and they got a lot of coverage, but they've could have been more popular had they released this before AOA.
In the video, the girls represent idols, who are in a constant struggle with maintaining their "flawless figures" to please the company and fans, represented by the older woman who is measuring and consantly watching them to make sure they are in shape. The sweets represent the girls' desires for eating anything and everything they want, but cannot have for the sake of maintaining their figure. The diamonds represent beauty and the figure they wish to maintain for the happiness of others. The girls decide that they no longer care about what others want from them, so they eat all the sweets they wish, thus giving up beauty or the diamonds, that is why they are spitting them out. It can be seen that all of the people around them are happy with just beauty, or the diamonds, but the girls no longer are, indulging themselves with all the sweets they wish to have.
For those of you who are saying these women are already grown up, n they can do what ever they want, u are probably right.But why are people always discussing about the cute or sexy concept.I mean those two concepts are not the only option.Just look at T ara's roly poly which didnt focus on being sexy or cute,but their music and dance just oozes perfection.I think its better that they should focus more on producing good music :D

No one would care about being "too sexy" if this was a boy group to be honest. A lot of girl groups are doing sexy concepts now because it's what sells. Most of the kpop fandom are girls that (usually) hate other girls and don't support female artists. So who's support do they try to get? Males. And they need to cater to the male audience. So there you go. If you hate sexy concepts, start appreciating their non sexy concepts.

I like both sexy and cute styles, they complement each other, I don't mind if they alternate between the two. However, if they do sexy, I'd prefer something more classy. The true "sexy" is all about hints and undertones, provoking your imagination, not about flat out showing as much skin as possible. It's happening in the observer's head. You don't have to show any skin at all and still be sexy if you know how to do it ;) Although I'm a guy and deep down I still like it just as anyone else, I'm worried about the overall direction and public image of K-pop. I just find that the companies are sexualising the girl groups. It's not their fault it's their companies choice to do this type of style. I mean yeah, lots of girl and boys groups have done sexy concepts back to back, but I think it's a common thing now. So we as fans might as well just deal with it. The song is not bad and neither is the concept. Rainbow blaxx fighting!

Honestly, to me, the whole video is about the whole dieting and eating restrictions idols, models, women, or whomever are put on. The whole diamonds vs. sweets is essentially the same thing as food vs. beauty (and over what is more important).
I also had this long, well thought out paragraph talking about the slut shaming and super awesome (super not) labeling/stereotyping going on in the comments, but then I realized it's a waste of time and it's going to keep happening no matter what haha.

This mv has a hidden meaning. I think that the old woman represents the kpop management and the way she watches them carefully on the tv screens to make sure they don't do anything stupid. I think the way she measures parts of their bodies represents how the idols need to maintain a certain body image. The way she throws the diamonds represents that the companies are making all the money on behalf of the idols. The whole video represents how the idols put on a show for their fans. This is my opinion.

The members in Blaxx are Jaekyung, Woori, Seungah, Hyunyoung ^__^
There's also another sub-unit which is called Rainbow Pixie and they have three members them being Seungah, Jisook, Hyunyoung :)

+Dustin Langewand I believe Rainbow Blaxx was created to try a new direction to get the main unit, Rainbow, popular. The DSP CEO wanted to try a sexy concept (this music video was made before it got really popular) and so they put the sexiest members of Rainbow into one group (since they all wouldn't have been able to pull it off). Unfortunately this was dropped after Girl's Day was dominating the charts with Something and AOA grabbed attention with the provocative 'Miniskirt' a week prior to this. So those 2 groups grabbed all the attention from RB. Cha Cha did alright on the charts and they got a lot of coverage, but they've could have been more popular had they released this before AOA.
Now i get it!! that scary lady keeps feeding them sweets because if they eat they spit out diamonds lol.....
Regardless of the imagery, this song is catchy.

In the video, the girls represent idols, who are in a constant struggle with maintaining their "flawless figures" to please the company and fans, represented by the older woman who is measuring and consantly watching them to make sure they are in shape. The sweets represent the girls' desires for eating anything and everything they want, but cannot have for the sake of maintaining their figure. The diamonds represent beauty and the figure they wish to maintain for the happiness of others. The girls decide that they no longer care about what others want from them, so they eat all the sweets they wish, thus giving up beauty or the diamonds, that is why they are spitting them out. It can be seen that all of the people around them are happy with just beauty, or the diamonds, but the girls no longer are, indulging themselves with all the sweets they wish to have.
For those of you who are saying these women are already grown up, n they can do what ever they want, u are probably right.But why are people always discussing about the cute or sexy concept.I mean those two concepts are not the only option.Just look at T ara's roly poly which didnt focus on being sexy or cute,but their music and dance just oozes perfection.I think its better that they should focus more on producing good music :D

Regarding the sexy concepts, I agree that grown women like this should go sexy instead of cute, but anyway it's like the companies think that only with sexy stuff can make their groups famous. But I don't blame them, it's the society's fault!!
Now regarding this song, I personally think that this song and video is better than Girl's Day's Something and AOA's Miniskirt. I mean, at least the song is one that you will like to listen to again, it's not a boring song and the video is funny and makes you feel.... hungry(?) No one would care about being "too sexy" if this was a boy group to be honest. A lot of girl groups are doing sexy concepts now because it's what sells. Most of the kpop fandom are girls that (usually) hate other girls and don't support female artists. So who's support do they try to get? Males. And they need to cater to the male audience. So there you go. If you hate sexy concepts, start appreciating their non sexy concepts.
A good song that don't deserve massive dislikes: it's even less sexy than other kpop songs like miniskirt or touch my body...Haters have no consistency

I like both sexy and cute styles, they complement each other, I don't mind if they alternate between the two.
However, if they do sexy, I'd prefer something more classy. The true "sexy" is all about hints and undertones, provoking your imagination, not about flat out showing as much skin as possible. It's happening in the observer's head. You don't have to show any skin at all and still be sexy if you know how to do it ;)
Although I'm a guy and deep down I still like it just as anyone else, I'm worried about the overall direction and public image of K-pop. I'm one of the few who like K-pop for the music, rather than being obsessed with a particular group, and the only thing that bothers me more are teenage girl fans giving K-pop bad name all over the world.

I just find that the companies are sexualising the girl groups. It's not their fault it's their companies choice to do this type of style. They did it well without making the audience feel awkward like Gary's MV which made me feel extremely uncomfortable.
