You see it as a sport Marty, and you have to be the best wrestler I have had the privilege to watch.
God bless you.
Marty used to teach me wrestling at his academy 2 years ago . He was such a nice man and helped me so much
@Big Daddy mate you’ve obviously never seen wrestling then. Yes some bits are fake but other stuff is not fake at all and can really bloody hurt
So pleased to see the great man still going strong - and a fine, insightful interview by Mr. Starbuck. Best of luck with the SLAM! promotion.
I remember him well, the man knows what he is talking about in wrestling. A British Wrestling legend.
I don't think there was anyone better during his time - expect maybe Johnny Saint who was in a different weight bracket anyway.
Amazing to hear that kinda detailed insight on this great sport!
Super stuff! Thank you for this and for flying the Finnish pro wrestling flag high!
Good old Marty. I used to love watching him back in the day. His matches with Fit Finlay were legendary. And were very very hard.
watched from start to finish first class what a insight to a trade enjoyed thanks marty
marty jones/rollerball rocco...two of british wrestlings real tough true greats
Yeah but the difference was Rocco constantly cheated, whereas Jones didn't.
@@garethbramley1 so damn true
He was such a skilled and great wrestler
If anyone knows the game, Marty does! Let them that want to play at wrestling play their games, and let the pros show the way and set things straight!
Perfect gent in and out of the ring and a true legend
Absolutely!!!
Thank you for sharing the knowledge and wisdom.
We got a great Podcast with more of The No.1 Marty Jones telling some great stories as well!

Great wrestler in his day had a classic on itv vs owen hart to win the world mid heavyweight title 👏
Love this video.
best of the best simple as legend him an rocco
The great Marty Jones was my fave wrestler. You knew you were in for a great match when he was on the bill. Looks like he's been drinking a few too many pints though. Lol.
He and Johnny Saint were the two to watch!
That's the way your body goes when you retire and no longer attend the Gym.
Lol he went on and owned a couple of pubs so he did sup some pints lol. He's lost alot since however injuries have took there toll and he's not as quick as he'd like to be now lol
@@rebeccajones9352 are you a relation Bex.
Sure am. He's my dad. He was involved in an accident on his leg thats resulted in numerous surgeries last couple of years so much so his last one was only 3 wks ago. He's getting better tho
@@rebeccajones9352 I wish him all the best. Saw him many, many times here in Nottingham. A lot of the time against those madmen Finlay and Rocco.
I used to love to see him operate his special 3 in 1 leglock (forget the name); and also loved the way he just lifted opponents using both hands as they came off the ropes and let them drop from a height. Fantastic!!
A fine education.
Whatta GOAT!
