Wasn’t expecting these two to ever make a project together but this was a pleasant surprise and I think they both killed it. Blu has always been underrated. Miles is one of the best projects for this decade on my opinion.
Wasn’t expecting it at all but makes so much sense on paper and lived up to it in practice. I didn’t love real bad man first time I heard him on real bad Boldy (idk if Boldy fits they’re style the best even tho killing nothing is great) but everything since has been dope. I think below the heaven got a lot of love when it dropped but he lost his momentum - it took him basically a decade to put out more projects on that caliber imo. But now I think he’s underrated for sure.
My guy B-side is dumpin!!! Yo, I appreciate the increased content. I’ve said it numerous times but you’re really the 🐐with this! Yet another great reaction, looking forward to the next 🤜🏽🤛🏽
I also keep being blown away with how good the beats RBM makes are. Slick Rick needs to meet up with CL Smooth and discuss how to keep up with the modern day haha. I think Blu also lends himself more to rappers of previous generations than the more gritty East Coast rappers
B, you been dropping so much lately geez cuh😂 Ay, we all here for it though cheering you from the sidelines.🙌🏾 Maaaan, Below the Heavens was such a big part of my life back in 07. That was my soundtrack for when I was working in Savannah. Such a beautiful piece of work. This EP was Blu really shining. He seems to always excel when he works with one producer as opposed to multiple on a project or doing all the beats himself. Also, Planet Asia been one of my favorites ever since Handlin Business off the > EP. Pain Language produced by Muggs still gets run all these years later. He also just dropped a crazy EP produced by Apollo Brown like last week. Ok, I'm done. Sorry for the long message again. 🫢
Bro literally! Long red hot La summer night don’t get enough credit neither does the color blue. Then miles is arguably AOTY for 2020 (even tho I got personally got RTJ4 by a slight margin). Dawg I didn’t like real bad Boldy but I’ve liked everything I heard from them since. Even the joints with pink siifu and Kool Keith got great production 🔥
@@BSideRapReviews The Color Blu(e) is honestly my favorite of his at this point. The production is just incredible, the sampling is insane and it has some of the most personal and vulnerable writing on any rap album this decade
To keep it a buck, if I’m doing old Blu projects, it’s no ay I’m doing that before below the heavens, miles, or long red hot… but I get the sentiment haha

Blu is Tuff cus I rate discogs heavily and his discog is very spotty in the middle. I thought he was well on his way of being top 25 but I don’t think his discog is consistent enough (even tho he’s consistent now). I have my top 50 written down and he’s not in it. I’d think around top 75ish with room to get higher b/c you can argue he’s in his prime now…maybe not based on age but based on quality. I got him #13 as best rappers right now
@@BSideRapReviewsDAMN that sounds like a tough list to make. Imo rappers can experiment and should be given some leeway, But yeah consistency across the discography has to be a key factor 🤷🏾♂️🥂

@@BSideRapReviewsRight on I feel the exact same way since the Boldy project!

Dawg you are phenomenal at the reaction/reviews. Breakdowns, commentary, & humor are top notch.
