Honestly Josh how you make your videos is what got me hooked on your channel. Its raw and real. It does not seem scripted like other channels . I find it on my videos its easier to film with just doing a voice over, but feal its more authentic when i just record and talk. Give me your thoughts.
Hey buddy ! As for me and the few tradesmen I watch I look for those 30 min plus video with not a lot of editing or music? I like to hear the saws and a look at how you stack up your machines? For instances Gary Strigler is a bang up finish carpenter but it’s 3:30 min videos? Even when you don’t think we see something we see it? And pick up tips ! I just don’t hv room for a full house though! Ok let’s see it !
man that fur is beautiful. Im not a fan of the clients idea to keep the rough look though. Maybe its just my own woodworking OCD brain. I just like flat, smooth, and sanded up to 320 surfaces 😂. Cabinetry/woodworking aesthetic is a subjective thing though. Either way your work is top notch and that's what really matters.
Just stumbled upon you recently and really like your videos. I notice you use the Lamello quite a bit, but have never seen you use a Festool Domino. Do you own a Domino and what are your thoughts on one vs the other? Thanks
I think a mix of voiceover and talking always works well.
For sure
I agree 100%
@@jhende7 I agree
agreed
I think voice over is fine as is the in-time footage. You’re doing a great job with both communication and commentary.
Thanks man 🤙

Oh cool. I Appreciate that dude. I will check out your videos too.
I’m always on the lookout for new shop shorts… can I ask what brand yours are? (I know it’s the weirdest comment you’ve ever gotten 😅 )
Hahaha. Not at all. A few people have asked about them. They are truewerk cloud shorts. They are the best.
@@NE_woodworks awesome sausage. Thanks!
My bandsaw has the very important job of cutting up scrap into firewood in my workshop, and that is about it 😂😂
Hahaha. Yeah it barely gets used in my shop
Voiceover is a good idea
Yeah I thinks so too
