Comme il est charmant le guide et on sent vraiment que ce lieu l habite merci pour cette magnifique déambulation dans le patrimoine que la monarchie nous offre encore
the very nice fellow acting as tour guide in the introduction can be seen in many independent documentaries about Fontainebleau, and each time he is a wonderful host and human being. it is a treat to see so many seperate people arrive and greeted by the same person. ive grown fond of the sub-culture that are live-in castle workers, because they all share one thing in common, a deep appreciation for the history of the place they have dedicate their life. where their own personal history of their window of life is intrinsically linked to the greater history of their home and they cant escape it, so they embrace it, and become more empowered, and clear seeing for it.
the gentlemen interviewing the tour guide is a little pushy, but it is understandable because one would imagine there are many more facts being witheld than disclosed. each person has their reasoning. we are all knights of something.

in my personal theory, the hallway to the ballroom was not deliberately constructed to be "sober"; it was already there, along with 10% of the original monolithic temple. it was then rebuilt, destroyed, and rebuilt again, where Francois' credit as proprietor was engrained in after centuries of loosely documented history.
