I haven’t heard that song in ages. In fact, I’d forgotten all about it-so thank you! There are two more verses that come right after the first one: I said to her Whatcha doin’ that fer, Just sippin’ ci- der through a straw? I said to her . . . (etc.) She said to me Why, can’t you see that sippin’ ci- der’s all I know? She said to me . . . (etc.) And then it goes to the “So cheek to cheek” verse and so on. My friends and I entertained ourselves for hours singing songs like this and “There Is a Tavern in the Town,” “By the Light of the Silvery Moon,” and so many more. Too bad we didn’t have ukuleles!
